No way should we be looking at a draw in this game. The way our fixtures are lined up, we could bag qualification match day 4 potentially, so that would be huge allowing us to then rotate for the last 2 games when the fixtures will be piling up.

We got to the final last season.....we should be confident of going to most teams and getting a win.

Agreed, ridiculous really. We should of been the Sunday 4.00pm game, and Liverpool/Chelsea the early Saturday kick off given they've played last night.

I agree with you, the Prem League don't have a say in the matter, its what the TV companies want.

Why the fuck is this on at 6pm? It's not enough that I can't watch it because I can't afford BT, but now I can't even listen to it, because I'm working and commuting home?

I agree. But not over confident. Lloris has said as much fortunately so at least we know it’s in the players’ minds to respect the opponents.

If this kicked off at 8pm our time, that would be 10pm local time. Not particularly fair on the locals to make it such a late kick-off.

I can understand why they've made the decision to stagger certain kick-offs.

Any chance of Parrot being on the bench or will he feature in the Under 19s this afternoon?

So they can show more games on TV?

It does seem like a sensible kick-off time to be fair.

My mobile provider let me have it free for 6 months, then they said it would be 5.99 per month which I thought was good value, then after a month the cheeky fuckers wanted £15 per month for it, so I told them to shove it.
That was about 5 months ago, and my login still works so I get it for free.
Fuck u BT.

On a side note, what a piss take that we are the 12:30pm game on Saturday. It’s bullshit like this that Poch refers to when he says the premier league does nothing to help teams in Europe.

Spot on. It's absolutely ridiculous that the PL allows the TV companies to completely fuck up the schedule like that. There has to be some level of common sense applied surely?

Superfan from Greece, lurking for quite a while, but first time posting here . Yes, Piraeus is virtually the same city as Athens, it's one megacity of 4 million people. The airport is in Athens, and so are most bars :)
This is going to be a tricky one, as Olympiakos are quite strong at home, and experienced in Europe. They had to start from the Third qualifying round to get into the group stage, and were very solid in those six games, home and away. Well coached, and dangerous in attack, although they are nowhere near elite quality-wise.
Corrupt ownership and all, as well-documented (their boss is on trial next week for fixed games in a span of many years), but their home ground can be a cauldron on game day.
No way Spurs win this easily just by showing up, unless they score twice in the opening 10 minutes or something. This is no evening for second-string experiments. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I predict that a draw is more probable.
Here's hoping that I somehow get a ticket in the away end; I'd hate to mingle with their fanbase, especially the far-right ultras of Gate 7.
By the way, expect more of the same in Belgrade. Olympiakos and Red Star are brother teams, and they wouldn't hesitate a second giving away a result to each other if necessary. I just hate this Group.
Olympiakos also have to play their equivalent of the NLD next Sunday @Panathinaikos. Which is their yearly cup final, but with added hatred and decadence.
The Metro serves the Piraeus stadium very well, but be careful. Anyone needs info, let me know.

Damn fine first post Sir.
Looking forward to updates.

Ultimately we have more than enough attacking quality to make our chances count, so we should win this one as long as we're not intimidated by the hostile environment.
