If Wales want to win a warm up game that much - sneaky try, flogging key players who can barely stand up, lots of tactical niggle to slow down the game - then may as well let them have it I guess ;)

Pretty turgid game overall. From an England perspective need to sort out some of the discipline, and work on some of our attacking work especially support play and phases after a break has been made. Oh, and an actual high class 7 in the team makes a difference too.

Bit of a shit one but pleased we didn’t get any injuries, James Davies aside.

Liam Williams getting pulled just before KO was great, doesn’t bare thinking about if he tore his hamstring and missed the WC.

Anyone watch France v Scotland? The Scots got a pasting.

I’m not saying this off the back of that as I’ve been thinking this for a while but Japan are going to beat Scotland in that group and finish second.

Well you're favourites for the World Cup now. Top of the Heap. World #1. Top dogs. Numero uno.

Be a bit of a let-down if you didn't win it ...

Eddie does make me laugh, though, tbh, I think Gatland would be saying the same thing if England won and became the number 1 ranked team in the world. Likewise Ediie would be saying what Gatland said (it’s just a number etc etc)

It is a stupid system, though. Hi know NZ have had 5 or so defeats and a draw in the last couple of years but you’d have thought them
Putting 30 odd points against Australia would be enough. I guess it’s coz the NH have more opportunity to play against the higher rank teams. It’s all bollocks anyway.

Course he would; that's why we threw the game! :D

You're right though, it is all bollocks. Everyone knows who the #1 team is, and it doesn't come from this island!

The number 1 team in the world will be the team that wins the WC.

Just annoying that we’ve got to wait until 2nd November until it’s officially Wales.

What team do you guys want to see against Ireland? Need to give your 1st team a good run out, surely.

They got, what, 20mins against us last weekend but you need them to get some more match minutes. You could start with another 10-12 B teamers and go fully loaded second half but you’ve selected your squad already (unlike us) so I’d have thought Eddie would be more likely give your first team a run out in this game rather than the Italy game but who knows.

Obviously I wouldn’t be playing Billy now as he’s played both games (and looked good) and I don’t think you need to overly worry about Mako not playing this weekend either. Will be interesting to see how both teams line up.

Apart from Mako, that England team may well be the one that starts the first World Cup game.

I agree but don’t you have USA then Tonga as your 2 opening games? ( or vice versa) so you can probably afford to rest a few of your key players until you play France and Argentina.

Strong Ireland team as well.

Ireland: R Kearney; Larmour, Ringrose, Aki, Stockdale; R Byrne, Murray; Healy, Best, Furlong, Henderson, Kleyn; O'Mahony, Van der Flier, Stander.

Replacements: Cronin, J McGrath, Porter, Toner, Beirne, L McGrath, Carty, Conway.

Yeah very much said that without looking at the fixtures.

What I mean is that it's probably the team Eddie currently thinks is the strongest.

Good first half after the soft early try, especially when we've been playing without a functioning 9. Ireland are a bit depleted and struggling a bit today though tbf.
