He took the free-kick we got at the end where we should have put it in the box. Instead he played it back to KWP (I think) and it ended up with Lloris booting it up the field back to City where we had the original free-kick.
One touch... Backwards.
Let's hope he settles...

Don't really care how poor we were, especially going forward

Bottom line is we hung in there against an incredible city attack and snatched a point with some clinical finishing.

We've had the exact same happen to us god knows how many times over the years, so I'm going to enjoy the point and not bother too much nit picking how we got that result.

Comparing City’s & Liverpool’s performances today, City played the better football and were against tougher opponents than Liverpool.

I think this City side will thump Liverpool when they meet each other.

In a massive game like this, the one thing I’d expect is that Harry Kane steps up. Like he wasn’t there. Invicible!

How many chances did he miss? How many poor touches did he take? How many time did a teammate look to play it into him and he wasn't available?

The answer to all these is zero. The reason Kane played poorly is down to more than than Harry Kane.

Okay, lovely relief at getting a barely deserved point from this game aside, I wish we would stop trying to play out from the back when we play quality sides who press high up the pitch. There's nothing wrong with playing long when the ball is in our defensive third and we're getting pressed: okay, so we might lose the ball if Kane and co. only hold it up successfully 50% of the time, but we lose the ball just as much when we try and short-pass our way out of danger at the back and I'd much rather lose the ball in their half than I would in ours.
Playing out from the back is fine if enough players want the ball, but the man in possession had little to no option (especially after Winks went off) so it became a pass putting another defender under pressure or a risky long ball giving them back possession or even worse an attempted 1-2 (mainly down Rose's side)

When we get Lo Celso up to speed and work out our best system (any day now :cautious:) we'll be better playing out, Jan helps on that front as well.

Its all well and good playing it about the back but when a forward pass to a midfielder is on the you MUST make it. Too many times a cm dropped in and created the angle just for the cb to go out wide. Its pointless!
Lots to short out. Great point at city but lets sort our shit out and play as we know we can

Christ, you love playing the handwringing card, don't you?
What the fuck are you talking about mate?

If anything I'm the opposite of the handwringing doom anti-support merchants on here.

Excuse me if I don't like supposed SPurs fans saying we deserved to lose. It's fucking City away - not Huddersfield at home. We got a fucking result - like we did in the Champions League last year. PLAYING THE SAME FUCKING WAY.

Fucking gold fish memories around here.

COYS!

Wonderful result but we rode our luck. Sanchez was my MotM. Both fullbacks struggled.
I would say the system set the fullbacks up to fail TBH.

You could've had Prime Cafu and Carlos out there and they'd have looked shite.
