Not sure where he is getting his info from but to finish the tweet on 'Things moving a mile a minute, though.' suggests he doesn't totally know so his whole tweet is subject to change.

Vintage stuff.
But that’s how it is with these things. He’s damned if he says info is rock solid, damned if he doesn’t.

Then don't tweet at all. His tweet after the Simon Stone info on Eriksen was easy enough, it was informed, the rest is fluff.

For me, Premier League standards don't help us at all. Due to those clauses, we could use Dybala's image for our business and promotion purposes and he would be obliged to allow us to.

The problem is elsewhere: if third party subject owns Dybala's image rights, it's almost certain he (and possibly the Club) would be obliged to pay damages/liquidated penalties to the rights owner.

FWIW, I am a lawyer, but I'm not practising in UK. @Stoof?

I'm not practising, I'm doing it for real. OOooohohhhhHHHH FIIIIIIIIIIIRE! #flames

But also, unless it's a big fuck-off building or a little fuck-you building, I have no idea. Literally depends what the documents say. My only question is what is the loss for damages to be paid?

Not great news. Sounds very familiar to other transfer windows

Question: (and not meant to be inflammatory, so please read with a nice jovial tone) do you excitedly wait for slightly negative news to then bring this line out to rile people up?

I'm just waiting for the ITK that a British bald man has been arrested on muscle beach in Miami for wandering around with a megaphone shouting "look at my financial muscle, I'm buying all the fucking players, ALL OF THEM"

Ali Z said Poch's first choice was an ex-player yesterday morning - believed to be Coutinho.

BEN at FTL said Poch wanted Coutinho.

Both before the news broke over here.

If the circumstances are true that we were in-fact offered him, the only reason I can see acceptable for that not happening is if Poch got his 2 preferred options (assuming Dybala and Lo Celso) otherwise it makes little sense as to why we can't make it happen if he was offered on a plate with an apple in his mouth to us.

What if we were offered him at terms we didn't like? You're not willing to entertain that idea?

Unless he goes elsewhere of course while we string it along. Straight loan should be easy to sort but buy options could complicate things. I think we will push hard for Dybala though, we must think there's a chance we can make the financials work.

Di Marzio:

The transfer window closes on August 8th in England, so the coming hours will be exciting for the Premier League fans. For Paulo Dybala as well, as he's in contacts with Tottenham after the Spurs have found an agreement with Juventus. An important matter that has to be solved quickly is related to the player's image rights, a matter that had already been in the air during the negotiations with United.

The company which owns Dybala's image rights has advised Tottenham (there have been contacts yesterday) that they couldn't close a deal without Juventus involved in the process, or rather that they couldn't get Paulo's image rights without them. Should Tottenham find an agreement on salary and commissions with Dybala's agent, they still should have to find another agreement with this company (image star) that belongs to his former agent, Pierpaolo Triulzi.

Yeah fair that could be true but considering it's a loan deal and he took a pay cut to join Barca I must admit I don't necessarily see that as a stumbling block but that is a possibility.

If we did get a deal sorted I wonder if he'd ask for the 10 shirt of Harry Kane's back?

I would guess his most likely number would be 9, replacing Janssen. Bit of a downgrade but we'd have to deal with it.

Failing that, Llorente's number 18 or potentially Nkoudou's number 14 could be good options.

Gazza will presumably take Vorm's 13.

Jesus as if it's 24 hours to transfer deadline and we're discussing squad numbers for Paulo Dybala, fuck sake.

I love that we're already talking about what shirt number he'd wear ffs :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
I kind of like the thrill of having everything snatched from my grasp at the last second after being over confident about a signing.
