Small piece of info from someone I know at the club but I was told Clarke's loan back was down to Bielsa wanting him back on loan. Sort of a favour, maybe?
Makes sense. As someone from the outside and reading ITK, it seemed a little odd how it all changed. But yeah, I can see Bielsa maybe persuading Poch that he really wants him to be a big player this year.

Still, leaves us a little light should Lucas or Son get injured

Good to see that more Italian media are running with it, makes it less likely that it is just us making Betis sweat.

I think leaving Llorente out of the squad is more to do with having a spot in the squad left open for a possible signing like this.
Yep. We are a little light up top should any two of Kane, Son or Lucas get injured.

Did you ever think we would spend £65m on a player?! I know I didn’t before N’Dombele.

There is always a chance.

Ofcourse, in this inflated market, there will come a day, we will spend 80m. Even now, strictly speaking Ndomble is only 55m+addons. 80m could be a fee Juve are after, but I dont think anyone will come to close to him at 80m fee

Word on the street is Juve need to sell, that he is available, but that ultimately it’s up to the player whether he wants to leave. And I’d imagine he will have more than one offer.

What a signing it would be though.

This sounds about right and fits in with the other stuff we’ve heard. We won’t be the only club interested most likely, and the player may still prefer to remain at Juve, but we’ve got a chance if Levy is willing to pay for a player that Poch clearly covets. Doubt either expected he’d be at all available this window

You’ve got to think that the argie connection with Poch and the players would help us massively.

And who else could be in for him? Rule out the top Spanish two.

Chelsea can’t sign. City are stacked and Liverpool won’t be making any major signings this summer. He wouldn’t go to Arsenal and the europa league, plus they don’t have the funds either. (Forgot United, but would he rather play under OGS than Poch?!)

PSG and Bayern would probably go for him. But we get further than PSG do in the CL and can argue we are just as likely to win it plus we play in a far better league.

Do Bayern ever spend £80 million on players? Not so sure.

We’ve got as good a chance as any.

Klopp seemed fairly adamant this week that there’d be no big signings. I guess you never know for sure, but they have Mane Salah and Firminio and it’s pretty set as their front three.

If there was ever a chance for us to show we have ambition to compete at the very top, then this signing does that. There won’t be many opportunities like this in the near future so if Levy really wants to prove to Poch he is serious, then he’s should make this happen.

Clearly a deal to be done here. Wages are affordable, Juve need to sell, we have the Argie connection and we have champions league. Make it happen!!

Real Madrid won't go after him, neither will Barcelona. Bayern Munich it seems they want to stick their money elsewhere on Sane. Man U will be all over him like a tramp on chips but if Maguire is the one they want they'd have to make a decision. Man City..... is he a Pep type of player??

PSG clearly would go in for him so for me I think our Argentinian connection could prove interesting. A swap deal with Lukaku however could always be one to watch.

I make us in the top 3 favourites to get him so if he's on the move we shouldn't right ourselves off based on our past and history. The 2nd biggest stadium in the biggest league in the world and a team boasting world record profits, we are now an elite club with all that is set up, what better way to say you're ready to act like that elite club on the field by flexing a little muscle? It's a tricky one but you never know

I agree about Liverpool, if a player of Dybala's calibre comes on the market and shows an interest you make room for him.

I think we'd have a chance if Poch can win him over.

That said Atletico could be thinking the same with Simeone, they'd happily drop the James chase for him I'm sure. I think we are similar level to Atleti now but you wouldn't blame a player for picking Spain and Cholo.

Utd or PSG could blow us out of the water financially, although I can't see the latter committing unless Neymar was actually leaving. The former might not suit Dybala currently (plus he's seen Veron and Di Maria fail there).

Depends on how realistic the wage demands are. £200k is a decent increase on what he's on currently, but there are quite a few players across Europe that are paid considerably more.

Bayern seem to want wingers, which Dybala doesn't quite fit the bill as, especially compared to Sane. Hopefully that would rule them out. They did actually pay a huge fee for a defender this summer so they could afford him.

If we are legit and have the capacity to pay £80m and £200k we may well have a chance.

They’ve just spent 125m on a very similar player

Let’s go with the £62-65m which was quotes about N’Dombele including the ad-ons. We still don’t know how much was upfront and Over how many years.

If Juve need to clear the decks and create more wage and/or balance the books and want 80m in a lump sum with no add-ons they are limiting their audience.
Who will buy their most sellable asset?

Not Barca as they just bought Griezman and maybe Neymar next.

Not Madrid as they just bought Hazard and are wanting Bale to go so they can free up money to possible buy Neymar also.

Man City - possibly

Liverpool - Coutinho cash spent so may have to do a structured payment.

Man United - possible swap with Pogba? But still may have to sell to balance the books.

PSG - only true club that can pay upfront, may buy if Neymar goes.

That’s a very small base of clubs to aim for if they truly need to get him off the books.

Klopp did a big speech this week about not wanting to rock the boat, not targeting big name individuals etc... that doesn't sound like Dybala to me, although I do think they need attacking depth/competition.
