All of this got released just after half 10, which is also usually the curfew for either (i) press conference news; or (ii) planned club publications.

That and the people who are running it (close links to Spurs) make me think this is being fed by the club.

Again, if true... why would Juve want to sell him? Sarri plays a 433, right? They have the following forwards on the books: Ronaldo, Higuaín, Dyabla, Bernideschi, Mandzukich, Padovan and I guess you could throw Cuadrado into that group. Looking at that list, he's the second best player amongst their forwards. So, why on earth would they be looking to offload him?
The only reason I can thing of is that they have someone else in mind, and/or they're discussing some sort of deal that would involve Eriksen and maybe Rose heading in the other direction.
Regardless, I have a hard time seeing how Juve benefits from this.

If we were really trying to sign Dybala, I don’t think we’d be so blatantly briefing AG, Dan KP etc all at once - we’d be trying to keep things under wraps. Count me sceptical.

Second best player on the list in your opinion (and mine) but a lot of people in Italy think differently

Nope. Refusing to believe this.

With 3 weeks until the end of the window, we won’t be buying Lo Celso, Sessegnon, Dybala and possibly a new full back. While selling Eriksen and a few others.

The number of transfer involved in that time surely isn’t possible.

Poch’s interview yesterday was quite telling on the strikers point:

On Parrot:

‘Today, yes [he could be part of the squad], tomorrow, I don’t know. We’re working with the [young] players, trying to provide the best platform and possibility for them to perform and be comfortable with the first team. He’s still so young but we’ll see what happens at the end of the transfer window. if we have the squad that we have today, of course he's going to have the possibility to be with the first team.’

I kind of read this as something might be in the pipeline, could of course be Llorente.

The deals go on weeks months before though, I thought I saw we contacted Juve about dybala last month ?

as somebody who's never rated dybala too highly, this is a win win.

If we don't get him, I don't care at all, but if we do get him, I can delete all tweets and evidence of me not rating him, and become his biggest fan who's always rated him since the palmero FIFA 13 days.

Juve has been in a bit of a spending spree the past two years. Maybe they need to balance the books, and see Dybala as redundant with Ronaldo around?

If (big if) this is true then would this show that Poch sees Lo Celso as competition for Winks/Sissoko/Ndombele than competition for Eriksen/Alli?

Probably there is some merit to the story that Rose is going to Juventus, part of a swap package. Still do not believe it will happen anyway.

But I just had another thought, some were all for us getting Bale at the same price and paying him 200 to 300k pw, so Dybala instead of Bale, with Rose thrown in may not be that incredulous. Nah, still wont happen.

This. If we intended to sign him, why would there effectively be a 'club release'.

To those saying it wouldn't pressure Betis because it shows we have money, its a fair point, but the pressure could still be put on. We would effectively be saying 'why should we spend 70mil on your very good player, when we can grab a star for 80?'.

Betis still need that cash either way.

I know I shouldn’t do this to myself but Dybala would tear this league apart. He’s so, so good.
