I see no one really responded to this in the excitement about the Kane goal.

But he literally did everything well. I mean, yeah, it's only pre-season, but it pretty much a perfect DM's game from him. He won the ball countless times, covered the FBs well, and used it really well when he was on the ball. He hardly misplaced a pass. He was the clear MOTM.

I agree.Skipp was really in command in the middle. He is a DM but has a great eye for space and for a pass

Anyone who's seen him enough, do you think Tanganga can step into the first team? He looks quite comfortable and as we were linked to Saliba would we be better off saving the money and giving him minutes this year?
Watched a lot of him over the years and he was making big steps forward in his second year at u18s but since moving up to the u23s it has not gone so well for him but it has not all been his own fault.

Last season I only missed one home game for the u23s and he has not been at his best but when Brooklyn Lyons-Foster plays alongside him he looks a lot better.

He is a strong aggressive player who is good in the air and has good pace,he does pick up a lot of yellow and red cards just like Parrott.

He should have had a loan last year and I am hoping he is loaned out this season to a Championship or Division one club.

Not sure what level he will end up at but he did play very well today.

It was noticeable the guys who started preseason training earlier looked a lot sharper. The late starters like Kane, Dele, Tanguy all looked like they were still working their fitness up. That second wave of players couldn’t have had much time training before going to Singapore.

Could not agree more, thought Skipp was absolutely superb (and yes, i'm taking the fact it's 'only' a pre season into account). Passing intelligently is still passing intelligently whether it's pre season or not, and his passing was top notch, his work rate superb and he actually outshone Winks in all aspects. He looks to have gained markedly in confidence. Can see him being a regular match day squad player regardless of injuries and he'll start plenty imo.

You can just tell Skipp has that Kane level attitude, if he stays grounded and focussed i think he could be a player in the middle of the park. Him, Winks, Sissoko, Ndombele, Eriksen and potentially GLC can easily fill the CM 2 or 3 if we go with that. Plus Dier, i think however Wanyama is likely out of the door as he is nowhere near the level he was when he joined us and you can likely still get 15 - 20m for him.

On top of that having Lamela, Son, Lucas, GLC, Eriksen and Dele to fill in the two with Kane is exciting times.

Players will really need to raise there game next year to get in this team and it can only be good thing for improving overall team performances.

We definitely aren't finished in this window with deals, i'm super confident GLC goes through though for some reason.

Off topic I’m sorry

I want to discuss Ndombele but I can’t because his thread is in the transfer rumours and I’m banned from that. Why do we who’s banned get punished for things outside the transfer section? Why can’t you just have one general player thread and one transfer rumours player thread? It feels like 80% of the player threads are in the transfer rumours.

Don’t want to sound rude but can you please think about this @Rob @Archibald&Crooks

I don't think there's a "player thread" for Ndombele atm, only the transfer one. The reason why they are in the transfer section is because people discuss transfers in them, which means they will be moved.

And that’s why I say there should be one general player thread and then if that player has a transfer rumour or ITK make a new thread for that stuff but leave the general player thread alone. Same thing Eriksen, I can’t go to his thread because I’m banned
