Ireland U-19 manager Tom Mohan has been dealt another blow ahead of next week's Euro finals after Mauricio Pochettino decided to keep Troy Parrott with the Tottenham squad.

Not long back from injury, chance to integrate with squad and learn from first team. Makes sense to me, although can see why Ireland may be disappointed.

Although it’s a big loss for the U-19s we have a few young strikers who will step in and take their chance. It’s absolutely massive for Parrott and Ireland that he has a chance to take part in meaningful top level games this season.

Youth teams maybe. But if he can be part of our first team squad for the next couple of years the senior ireland team might be very happy.
