McGregor is such an attention whoring prick, getting mighty bored of him now.

Hope they do get this rematch booked and Nurmagomedov dishes out another clock cleaning.

Used to enjoy watching him fight, he would have the fight 80% won before the first bell but people got wise, his gimmick got stale and here he is trying to be more and more controversial to stay in the limelight. Guy needs to let it go and get back to putting some wins on his record again, imo.

Conor is on scarface levels of coke and has all the money in the world. He doesn't need to train or fight any more. I think it's going to become even more of a public train wreck than it is already.

UFC236 had to be the two best interim title fights ever :wideyed:. Amazing main card apart from the Jouban vs Grant snoozefest.

Yep two absolutely great co main events. Those are the type of fights that are a great advert for what MMA is all about, not the circus type crap that is Macgregor.

Think Bobby Knuckles beats Adesanya though I’m still not sure on him, Gastelum is a marginal top 5 MW for me, Whitaker and Romero head and shoulders the best in that weight class.

Well done to Poirier, love both these fighters, didn’t want either to lose but Dustin needed it more for his career

Sage Northcutt got brutally KO'ed last night. In surgery for 9 hours apparently. Damn.

The KO was brutal and probably fractured his orbital but he also took a hammerfist to the back of his head that bounced his face off the canvas while he was lying motionless. Looking at where the bandage is it looks like that is what did the damage.

That's some damage, not the worst I've seen but pretty serious all the same...

JESUS I hope Sage recovers well and is back in the Octagon again real soon. Nice to see he's giving the thumbs up to the camera.

That face is going take quite a while to heal, another punch to that area and he won't be so fortunate the next time!

Might have been the fastest KO in UFC history but let’s not pretend it wasn’t a complete fluke that he lowered his head onto that knee

I just thank God he's a young, strong and incredibly fit athlete and I pray we see him back inside the Octagon again soon. I bet his opponent was absolutely gutted too at what happened.

I seriously doubt that. The two them seriously dislike each other.

Jon Jones scraped past Thiago Santos on a split decision. Good display by Santos who was carrying a knee injury (torn ACL?) from the end of the first round. Jones has a habit of easily winning the rematch whenever he is tested but it would be interesting to see him face a fully fit Santos again.

Amanda Nunes made short work of Holly Holm. She's cleared out 2 divisions now. The rematch with Cyborg is her obvious next fight but where does she go from there? She's clearly the GOAT in women's MMA.

Arnold Allen looked the real deal against an over the hill Gilbert Melendez. Could the UK have a potential future featherweight champion? He'll need better opposition than Melendez to know for sure but has time on his side. I think a fight against a proper gatekeeper like Cub Swanson would be the way to go before testing himself against dangerous opponents such as Ortega, Stephens or Aldo. It's still a big step up from there to beat Holloway though.

Even if the two fighters seriously dislike each other, neither of them wants to literally kill the other, and it looks like Sage was in a very serious condition, so if his opponent (as you say) didn't give a shit, he's worthless, vile scum and should never be allowed to compete with proper professionals again.

This was his response by the way. Brutal.

I still think he didn't realise the true extent of Northcutt's injuries after the fight, and if he knew, he's just a worthless ***t . But I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt until I hear different.

I think you’re talking about two different fights and fighters here...
