It would be embarrassing for Spurs to miss out on Ndombele and Lo Chelso now. We've pinned our colours to the mast and said, "These are the players we are after...."

If we don't now secure their respective services, how's it going to look to the football world? Embarrassing.

No way we don't get them both.
There’s a way to get neither, dont you worry about that. We’re pretty bad at the whole acquiring who the manager wants thing.

(...) Opposition defenders are not scared of Lamlea on attack & everyone knows how to play against him. Show him in his right foot and you can get the ball or he can give the ball away. (...).
Show Lamela onto his right foot, and he´ll rabona kick the ball in to the net! :)

Other than that: just sign G-Lo-Ce!:woot: ... we can argue over who´s our favourite player come autumn.

I still only see it at 50/50 for either one of them, and much less than that to secure both.

The ITK and everything is all positive but it often is this time in the window.

If I've got my positive head on, I'd say the fact Atletico are interested is a good sign as they always scout good strikers/attackers. So should we sign him he will likely be class

Absolutely. More likely that we get none of them than us getting both imo.

Not sure how reliable but quick summary from what I established from googles translation of the article linked:
Apparently Betis want to sign Mitrovic. The vice president of Betis was recently in London to discuss a deal for him, and also used the trip to meet with Spurs officials in London to discuss Lo Celso.

Presume this wont be concluded either way until after the COPA now? May as well take a couple of weeks off and save ourselves the daily anguish...

/watch every Argentina game and hope he doesn't get injured nor plays too well that he attracts more attention..!

Estadio Deportivo are saying that Man Utd have told Betis they are willing to offer €75m for Lo Celso if they lose Pogba.

Could be Betis trying to put pressure on us or it could be that Man Utd literally have no scouting department and are just targeting anyone we want (Sessegnon, Wan Bissaka, James, Ndombele, Lo Celso etc).

The piece didn't read to me like ManU had expressed that willingness so much as Real Betis know they are interested and feel as if they would agree to pay the 75m euros they want if ManU sell Pogba. Just onions on that though since it's all guesses of an interpretation.

Any links to United has to be taken with a pinch of salt. By reports yesterday, they are also signing Fernandes for 70m and he had a medical as well. While they have the money, all these could be agent bullshitting.

Ofcourse, Lo Celso could very well go to United because United can offer more money than us.

If he picks United who are rudderless & below us in league for money, then good luck to him, he may need it. If he comes to us then great signing. But for now, I wouldn't worry one way or other.

Expect to see United linked to every good player this summer, they have money and need a big rebuild, agents / clubs will use them the same way we've been used over the years for new contracts.

Don't forget, as powerful as Man Utd might be in terms of money and image, they also have, at best, an average manager who won't be there very long (unfortunately) and are nowhere near as attractive a proposition as they once were. For sensibly advised younger players who put a career development path before money they would be one of the last clubs you'd sign for at this present time.

Certainly it seems that Utd are strongly linked to Fernandes today and yesterday. Our name has been mentioned into stories as well

I think they want Fernandes and we want Lo Celso, and we're both being linked with the opposite player either due to lazy journalism, a negotiating tactic from any of the four clubs involved, or both.

I'm not convinced Fernandes is a genuine target of ours, and the same with United and Lo Celso.

Betis have just signed Juanmi for £7m who's an attacking midfielder like Lo Celso.

Hopefully they're doing what we did with Bale and spending the money beforehand.

For some reason both he and NDombele have Dave Sanchez vibes to their recruitment. I think we get them both, wildly enough.
Went back and looked at the Sanchez thread from summer 17. 10 days from the first link he was announced.

Seems he’s primarily a winger so don’t think this is relevant.
