Then why do I feel bad for posting it?

I bloody hate being somewhat aggressive towards other members/supporters, but saying it's Sissoko's fault that we lost last night is one of the most ridiculous things I've read.

There was still 90 minutes to play after that incident & 14 of our players took part in them. The whole team wins & loses, not just a single player.

Don’t feel bad mate ? in my head I’ve blamed every one of the players on the pitch as being their fault, just at that moment I was blaming Moussa. I don’t even really think it was a penalty but the truth is he should know better than to have his arm up in the box, especially after what happened to rose.

Honestly tho because of what he did it meant we didn’t even get to enjoy a minute of the biggest game of our lives and that is why I’m so sad at him.

OK we lost but I thought we gave it a good go in that second half but we just couldn't break them down. At least we didn't embarrass ourselves with a pathetic show of white flag waving rubbish like Arsenal did few nights earlier. They were so gutless their entire fan base is up in arms, and quite rightly (and deliciously).

I'm so proud of my club right now. Having gotten to the final after coming back from the dead on a number of occasions, against all the odds was nothing short of amazing.

Yeah, we didn't win but the lessons we leaned from last night's defeat will stand us in very good stead for our next campaign next season. I'm holding my head high today. I've just been out shopping in Islington today wearing my Spurs top and nobody said a word, and this is staunch goon territory. Right now, I don't think they feel they have any reason to make themselves known in public. :LOL:

It's not that we don't have quality players. We abslutely do especially our attack is on par with them in terms of quality. Even Liverpool fans all agreed with me on this. Our front four, Kane, Eriksen, Dele and Son are world class on their day. Kane is world class any day obviously.

The difference is their midfield and fullbacks. Not our attack. They create loads of good chances for their front 3 and their midfield has a defensive workhorse like Fabinho. Also they have been quite lucky with injuries. The front 3 played most of the games together both in the league and the CL and have much better chemistry plus Klopp always sticks with the same system/formation so they are also well-drilled.

You are underrating our players too much. I don't get it since they also had such a poor game.

Mate I’ve seen salah and mane play plenty of times and can tell you they are far more of a consistent threat than any of our attacking players, they were also both joint top scorers this season! We have a better mix of players but they have 2 attacking wingers who are a level above ours (son and Lucas) in terms of goals assists and consistency. Partly this is because we play a different style to Liverpool but partly our attacking players just aren’t quite that good. I do agree on the full backs as they both got 10 assists and if swap both of theirs for ours even though rose is playing pretty well recently.

They let us have possession knowing we were going to do nothing with it and suffice to say I don't think we did enough. I was dissapointed that we didn't come out and really give it everything... The game will be a what if game for us for a while.

Am I proud of the journey? Damn straight but if we are going to continue to go down the grateful we are here route etc then we will never progress as a club.

This is what really got to me the last 3 weeks. How our fans/ex players/players even were getting all star struck gushing at the fact little old THFC had reached a final. No real thought was given it seems to winning the damn thing. To me it seems everything connected to THFC didn’t really believe we could win it.

Guillem Bogroll mentioned this in a 5-Live preview pod on Thursday. He had spent some time with MP that week & MP had said he was working this last 3 weeks on the mentality of the players. To not just be happy to be in a final but to believe they can win it.

Seems like he failed on that part....

I can’t remember who said it (could have been Rio Ferdinand) but the logical conclusion of this rule is that players have to play the whole game with their arms plastered to their sides if they want to avoid being penalised for handball. It’s simply illogical.

I can’t say that the ref got the call wrong based on the letter of the law, but he certainly got it wrong in maintaining the spirit of the law.

What rely riles me is that officials are defended with the argument that they have discretion and that they can interpret the laws of the game when making a decision and also that they have to strictly follow the laws of the game. Well, which is it? If they can interpret, then the ref last night should have used the context to allow play to continue. If they have to follow the rules strictly, then there are countless decisions that should never have been made or should have been made but weren’t. How about carding Allison for time wasting? Didn’t see that happen. But the rules are clear on that. Where was the sticking strictly to the letter of the law on that one?
