Same here. Unless UEFA have their own rule book but can’t seem to find it.
It's not UEFA or IFAB or FIFA rules that have come into play - it's specific instruction given to referees in how to apply the laws around handball. They've been told to penalise handball regardless of whether it's deliberate or not and have instituted the quite simply ludicrous idea of a 'body silhouette' to make the determination.

The IFAB rules consider handball to be a 'subjective consideration'. More evidence that the officials have dived headlong into a rabbit hole that leads to utter chaos.

With handball being 'subjective', officials have been instructed, I would imagine in an effort to reduce the 'subjectivity', to penalise by default. Cack-handed and stupid, but there it is.

So, in summary, it's not the official sanctioned rules that have been implemented when it came to Sissoko's handball, but rather a specific instruction given to officials, based on the 'subjective consideration', which last night the ref imposed, as he has been instructed to.

Oh and I forgot to say - massive shout for Harry Winks, considering he’s been out and not played competitively for several weeks, I thought he was outstanding and bossed the middle. Fantastic player and hopefully he can go the whole of next season injury free and show the world that he’s one of the best as I really think he’s up there.

Yeah i thought he was the best player on the pitch last night. He was the sole player that brought that Champions League final quality to the game. I don't mean that as disrespect to the other players - defenders on both side did there job really well, just that he brought a bit of swagger and class to the game. I would have imagined he caught the eye of quite a few people.

Really hope we get a full season from him next year (and after that too!) because his ceiling is really high. Great player

I’m pretty sure Mane aimed for Sissoko’s arm. There’s no Liverpool player in sight of that pass!

Sadly, winning at all costs even it is unsporting and cheating is now part and parcel of the modern game. Every club is guilty of doing it. Shirt pulling, diving, pretending to have been fouled, claiming to the referee cards to be shown, players hounding the referee when decisions go against them, pleas demanding VAR should be checked etc is common place. It will remain like this as I can't imagine EUFA and FIFA having the balls to bring in Draconian punishments to drive it out. This latest law change on hand ball simply allows footballers to win penalties by aiming for arms. It also stops defenders pointing to get teams mates to cover unmarked opponents. I think Sissoko was doing something like this and was not simply holding his arm up in an unnatural position. One ill thought out decision in the 25th second spoiled what could have been a spectacle of a game in my opinion.

The kind of instruction that may or not be applied depending on which team it might favour

Precisely. It's what makes it so ludicrous and cuts right to the heart of the matter when it comes to officiating - the lack of accountability. My own position is that I think referees must be held accountable. If they are now a professional body, then there should be the appropriate level of transparency and accountability that applies to any kind of official body. This is where the friction is between the fans and the game. It isn't reasonable, in my mind, for those who provide an important revenue stream to be left with no voice in matters related to the game and with no accountability processes in place.

We should have at least one of those things - either direct input into the laws and regulations of the game or some means of formal sanction when officials take actions that have a clear detrimental effect on the game as a whole. Not to the level of individual games, of course, but more broadly.

My spirits have been so high with expectations we would be European Champions this morning, there are no words to express the depth of my anguish at the moment. That is desperately difficult for me to cope with. What is driving me into deeper despair is all this guff in the media which is all this over the top glorifying of Liverpool and how brilliant a team they are. FFS, thy were no more than ordinary last night. They were just as ordinary when they fluked the 2 -1 win at Anfield. They are no where near up to the standard of the truly great sides that have won this trophy.

Congratulate them by all means, but please stop this over emphasising their ability

Mane aimed for his arm which makes him a smart but rank little fucker.

This is going to happen a lot more with the new handball interpretation. I really don’t like it and not just because it went against us last night.

Would prefer they kept it like it was with just the refs subjective view of whether it’s deliberate or not.

Having said that, what Sissoko was doing with his arm out pointing in the penalty area like that I don’t know. Was stupid and unfortunately with the way handball is being interpretated now days it gave the ref no option, even if the ball hit his chest and then onto his outstretched arm.
