So as a thank you to their North Wales fans Wales play a game at Wrexham Racecourse for the first time since Feb 2008.
It's a meaningless friendly against Trinidad and Tobago which they scrape through to win 1-0 with a 92 minute winner. Giggs drops all the stars because of an upcoming qualifier this weekend and the fans are gutted when the team is announced.
Brilliant PR work by the Welsh .......icing on the cake is that Giggs thought it was a good result and 'understands' how disappointed the fans must be.....utter bollocks and a total disgrace to North Wales supporters....who will be expected to travel down to Cardiff on Sunday to watch the game against Slovakia.
I couldn't agree more- they should have put out the stars for a short time even. But Giggs has form for f#cking his country over in friendlies (not too mention his brothers wife).

Surely it was his decision to play for Wales and not England.

I think his nationality had something to do with it, I don't think he could have played for England. He was born in Cardiff and went to school in England so that's why he played for England schoolboys.

I've got much more pressing things to worry about, primarily how to get my nail clippers out from down the back of the sofa.

Glad you managed to find the time to post that though...most informative.

Wasn't Micheal Owen born in Wales?

Giggs is not the answer....not prepared to put himself out as a player for Wales he is about to bring heartache to the fans. I never understood the appointment and after watching us lose in a friendly to Albania (5th defeat out of 9 played) there seems no plan at all.
Unfortunately it will have to get much worse before action is taken but I can't see him there by the end of next year....

Wales must win most, if not all remaining games to reach Euro 2020, says Giggs

Giggs' moral compass plays up quite often.

I hear he chucks his kids into a tumble dryer after their bath.

Are you saying that’s not an acceptable thing to do to kids after their bath? It’s quicker.

Only if Chester is in Wales. Giggs has no English connection as far as I know he is Welsh.

As I've just seen this, for some clarity, parts of Chester are in Wales. A proportion of Chester FC's stadium is, for example.
It's not exactly that simple, though - Chester's hospital (Countess) is basically the nearest to most of that side of Wales. Things might have changed, but from memory you had maybe St Asaph, Wrexham or Chester as the main hospitals of North East Wales, so a good proportion of people that are nearer Chester (most of Flintshire) will end up being born in the Countess, and thus will be English-born, but will spent their whole lives in Wales. Terry Owen was born in Chester too, and I think grew up in Wales the same.
Michael Owen grew up in the Hawarden area like Gary Speed, but Gary I think was born at home so didn't have that same hospital conundrum.

It's where football rules get awkward, because you can be as Welsh as bara brith, but happen to be born in England and have parents who are both born in England just because of a curious border issue.

Giggs however has Welsh and Sierra Leon nationality, but not English. He played for England Schoolboys on account of the fact he went to school in England (when he joined Utd) but would never have been eligible to play for the English sides afaik.

Well he's not going to be in charge for their next 3 games, so you might say they have been saved
