It would be good to fill that single tier as much as possible. I really fancy the atmosphere to be great for these test games. The fans will surely want to test out the noise levels. I can only imagine what that would be like for the U18s. What an amazing experience to have at such a young age.
How many will be there? I know the club wanted c10k, but looking at the map the seats left are quite random. Have they sold most of the stadium or is it still a very reduced capacity?

Not sure how many have sold but they said circa 30k for the U18s and 45k for the legends

Sky have pretty much selected every home game for the last few months to try to cover any eventual opening date but the Palace one seems to have slipped thorough and typically it’s the one we end up choosing as the opening date.

Sods law!!

Exactly this, no-one even knew our opposition until the Millwall v Brighton game had finished, the dates and opposition had then changed as a result.
I do agree its a nice opportunity missed by Sky, no hidden agenda!

I am often at the game and think to myself "this is an enjoyable match, if only I had a grazing menu to get stuck into".

I have an ST but if I didnt and wanted to go then thats not a bad price to pay... one off ofcourse. Is the experience worth £420 and will the pre and post match stuff be worth it? probably not but opening game in a new stadium is a historical moment.

If I could afford it, I'd definitely do it.
You get a good couple of hours either side of the game to enjoy the surroundings, the food and the drink.
Managed to get into the captain's club at WHL a couple of times through a mate. For someone that can't get to the stadium much (or at all atm) it makes a memorable day out.
Plus I got to meet Wipey and had a chat with Sir Les in the stairwell.

I'd probably kill for the chance in my present situation, I'm not getting there anytime soon and that hurts.

I am completely of the opinion that some people have too much money. I won’t say too much more on the matter as my full views will be available in PDF format for a very reasonable £149.99.

How much alcohol could I consume in the 3 hours prior to kick off? Would I actually remember anything? Would I be sick on the brand new carpet and reclaimed concrete? Would I be evicted prior to the match? Where do I sign up?

So many tickets left for the U18 event. Reckon they'll invite members to buy tickets for guests like the members guest window for real matches or straight to gen sale?

Really? I'm supposed to be getting 2 tickets from an ST holder (via official process, e.g. ticket share scheme) but if that falls through or there are some left for general sale then I'd rather just do that.

Surely if there are any left for General Sale then that would have to start from tomorrow at the latest, right?

In 30odd years of going to football matches I’ve never done the corporate thing. Admittedly I haven’t really had the opportunity.

Luckily my missus works for one of the big 4 financial services companies and after much badgering from myself it has been confirmed that they do have some events pencilled in at the new stadium. So I’ll be all over that like a tramp on chips as a one off.

I wouldn’t pay for it though or do it on a regular basis. Even if I was minted.
