Standard article saying he hopes to be fit for late February. Also shows he’s come back earlier from every spell out to date than the club originally informed.

Last year he got injured March 11th. Club said he wouldn’t be back training till April. Came on as sub against Chelsea April 1st. Personally I’m expecting him to be back training end February and ready at least bench NLD. I would guess it’s a mid grade strain 4-6 weeks based purely on the fact he walked off the pitch. If it was the most severe sprain 10–12wks as Herculrs has suggested you simply would not be able to walk 10 meters and he’d have been in much worse pain.
Did he walk off the pitch I thought he was on a stretcher?

I think it's largely that it hasn't worked out and he's got little faith/trust in Llorente (and Janssen previously). But what has been signed, and his previous history, for me shows what Poch ideally wants.

Having the option to be more fluid is of course handy. There might be games where you feel the additional movement/rotation of positions is the way to go, but what we have already at the club covers that.

Couldn't the whole "it hasn't worked out" also mean that Poch would re-evalute his own preference of an extra "proper" 9? Especially watching City and Liverpool this season.

He might do, but we already have Son and Moura as the versatile attackers so personally I'm not seeing why we'd then need another in this mould.

Coming back is one thing. Coming back fit to play at his proper level is another.

This is closer to the mark in my opinion. Some of you may have noticed that our style of play recently has been much more direct. If you look at how we've played you will see we are playing for more passes from the backline in behind the opposing full backs for Son and Alli to get on to. This is exactly what Man city have been doing for the last 2 years. I would not be surprised to see a player with a physical presence but also with pace come in to play as centre forward. Someone like Zaha

We all know the itk on January 31st is gunna be:

“We tried hard but agents were playing games and clubs know they have us over a barrel with Kane being out. Poch is really happy with his options though”

Due to being somewhat exiled from that section of the site, could you let me know if that happens. I've now missed so many transfer windows, I'm actually beginning to wonder if I'm Daniel Levy.

Anyone see his post to Dembele on Instagram ?

“Thanks for all you have done for the club”

He really loves this club and is now way beyond mere player status.

I bet he is straight on direct dial to Mr Levy with those two and Poch controlling the club.

I really hope we can give him some pots over the next few years.

The boy is already a legend at this club and literally is helping it grow and morph into a bigger institution. Never, ever forgot that and what he has done.

Why would anybody pay attention to a striker who scored 20+ league goals in a top league an entire two times in his career despite always playing at top sides. What on earth does he know about what a top striker should do? He was a complete flop at the greatest side he ever played in. Overrated money grabbing has been.
