He’s stumped up $2Bn of his own money for the Rams new stadium( which is costing $5bn) yet he cant find £30m for a CB for Arsenal. I think that’s massively telling imo.

Just a note on him funding the stadium: yes he's putting money in initially but then they're basically letting go him have tax breaks for the next X amount of years until he's recouped all his money so in the end it's still the taxpayer who's going to be footing the bill, just indirectly through a lot of smoke and mirrors

Theres every chance at some point he could uproot arsenal , and move them to another city. All to improve his bottom line.Thats when the outrage will start. Right now i think he's gambling on a european super league setup in the future with no relegation, and arsenal being one of those clubs. I guess he doesnt understand what being a fan means, or that fans arnt customers to be fleeced, or come to think of it that an ESL is unlikely to happen cos UEFA.

They moved before (from sawf lundon) and it would be great if they did again. Just imagine AFTV! I just can't see that happening

A lot of people think AFC is debt free, they actually are known to have to service a stadium build debt until 2031 which is something like £20million per year.

The might have a few bob in the war chest (?) but it will need topping up.

I put good money on it. If kroenke could build a 100,000 seater someplace else, and fill it with customers,he'd do it in an instant. He doesnt care about a clubs history. Its just a business to him. The mugs are the ones who spend money on anything arsenal, they're just playing long term into his hands. So whys Levy different? Well hes a fan, he supports Spurs, he wants to see us win the CL. it means things to him. Therein lies the difference. Blackpool v Arsenal should have been a warning to arsenal fans of where they're headed, but they ignored it. One day its going to bite them on the arse hard.

Emery is extremely focused on the tactical aspect of the game, he watches video after video and his most trusted team member is a video analyst. Now at PSG they are apparently feeling like they have a little more freedom and appreciate the more 'human' element to coaching. This is what was relayed to me from someone who worked with him there.

Therefore, I wouldn't be surprised if Emery has big problems overturning bad form as that is when you need to become less rigid in your approach and focus on confidence. I do think he's an excellent coach, but I doubt (and this is because of what I was told) that he has what it takes to really make them a powerhouse again, especially as he has his hands tied behind his back.

The voices of dissent have started, they'll only get louder from now. I do wonder how long he'll get before they hound him our or sack him?

Yeah. It's ironic how for years and years they mocked us about Levy and the way he operates. How many of them now wish they had an owner like him. Despite his faults, Levy has generally always put the health of the clubs' finances first.

We are lucky to have Levy.
I'm not a fully signed on BSoDL but he has got the best interests of the club in mind more than other owners/ chairmen-women.
I wouldn't want any other chairman right now-as long as he keeps Poch n co.

The video posted a few posts ago with the Arsenal fan...

You have to be honest and say that regardless of what you may think about Levy and Co, they run the club properly. I wouldn't want to be in the mess that Arsenal are in.

So whilst all the spoilt brats in transfer threads are moaning because we're not buying shiny new players and overspending on wages etc, consider that if we did that with any frequency, we'd likely be in the same position.

The whole situation will become unsustainable at some point, and you know what? Our club will be fine.

We’re currently in a position where the only players we can sign are homegrown due to the fuckups of previous transfer windows. I’m not sure sound judgement in the transfer window is really something we can be crowing about right now.

Please let it be to Woolwich

Seeing your picture reminds me of a story from my home town...

Between the world wars the Government would display captured German artillery guns in town centres and market places around the country to promote the British army and the military might of the empire. Well, one night in Wantage a bunch of veterans after a few beers decided they'd seen and heard enough German guns in their lifetimes decided to liberate the gun, roll it down the hill and into the brook.

I like to think it was as much about being Anti-Arsenal as they were Anti-War.
