Lol bless him, he’s a dying breed for sure. That video has made me like him a little bit more and I don’t know why. Probably the child like pettiness, he is so emotional and wrapped up in the game a bit like a fan would be. Clearly loves the game, and passionate about every single kick of the ball.

He’s a dinosaur, for sure but you can see this isn’t just a job to him is it.
And he’s right, Muscat was a dirty little ****

I think we should worry about the test events being booked in first before we even consider the opening game.... 2 test events to be organised and to happen and be signed off needed, i doubt the league would allow us to book a game in without this all being confirmed, especially after last time

Why not? It wasn’t the failure of the test events that caused us to push back the opening date. I think the club will announce first game at the same time as they announce the test events.

What was it then?

Test events isn't solely about fans turning up for a practice evacuation, it also included the test of the alarms system which failed miserably

Although Warnock is a massive dick in terms of fairness he’s actually correct. But it’s actually the teams that have to play us at new stadium that should be complaining. Nobody knows for sure if it’s an advantage or disadvantage but common sense would make you think it’s an advantage to move. Unfortunately I would have to agree that over 19 games conditions should be exactly the same for every club. If say it was Chelsea and they’d lost to city and Liverpool at Wembley and then we had to play them at a new Stamford bridge can’t say I’d be happy. So while Warnock personal gripe is redundant his actual point is valid.

I can't argue with most of that, but the conditions at Wembley won't be the same for all 19 games because of the reduced attendance levels. As you say staying at Wembley would probably benefit the teams we haven't played at home yet.

Well, you hope they actually test the alarms before the test events.

Though, if memory serves, weren't Spurs going to use Fire Marshalls in lieu of some of the alarms?

Maybe Wembley is an advantage to us against the lower teams.
At NWHL in a cauldron of intense hate, they might not dare venture out their own half. Yet gain a point.
At a half filled neutral national stadium, they might be inclined to be more bold. Yet go home with nothing.

That certainly wasn't the case for Burnley when we played them, they came for the draw and thankfully didn't get it.

Why are you over thinking this for?

So when did we have our test event?
Sounds like you are looking for an argument but you won't get on from me I just thought we had an event and they discovered the fire alarm problem so you confused me.

We had booked the test events in but in the weeks leading up to the events when they were checking all the safety tests that is when they found out they had the problem, they are doing the same process now however just not booking in the test events until it has all been passed

Ah yes I misunderstood the original post, the event at which they discovered the problem wasn't a test event.

Can only think this was a film crew last night and quite a serious one. Maybe Sky getting some footage pre game or testing out camera angles.

Sorry to trigger the 'players are going to break their legs every time there's a corner' brigade...

But it looks like some work is being done on the Northern corners here, presumably to bring them up to spec or help reduce the camber/grade of the slope.
