Sunderland and Sunderland fans are complete troglodyte, scum bag, chav twats. Awful town.

They’ve had to put up with a fair bit of shit watching Sunderland in recent years to be fair to them though lol.

It's a complete shithole of a place but the people are alright by and large. It does have it's fair share of twattish chavy teenagers thoguh, I'll give you that.

It will certainly be much more worth watching than that self-commissioned City wankfest earlier this year

It's well put together from the bit that I've seen. Not sure I care enough though to watch the whole thing though...

Does anyone remember the Sheffield United documentary series from around 1990?

Fuck, that Amazon thing was shocking. The few interesting tactical titbits there were about Pep were hidden behind a mountain of propaganda. It felt like I was watching some dude give himself falacio whilst looking in the mirror for an hour. Fucking hate city.

Feel so sorry for Jonny Williams. Prime example of how tough football can be if your body and mind isn't strong enough. Seems a lovely lad and he had bags of talent coming through the ranks at Palace.

As for Grabban and Rodwell, they come across as first class ****s.

Finished it and it was pretty interesting. Gives you a bit of an insight into why so many footballers seem so juvenile imo, it's clearly pretty difficult to put down roots and have stability in an environment where you could be moved on, or injured, at any moment.

Darron Gibson also seems like a complete nob but we knew that already. Can't believe he's only 31.. tough paper round.

Also they have pretty much everything taken care of for them by the clubs so they end up sort of being "mothered" until they retire. They essentially live the life of a teenager until they hit 35 and retire. They have their washing, cooking, cleaning etc. done for them, all the day-to-day admin with things like accommodation, bills, insurance, travel arrangements etc. are all organised for them by the club, they get given clothes to wear by both the club and sponsors. If they've got any problems they call their agent/PA/someone at the club etc. and it all gets sorted out for them... They're like 13-year-olds with millions of pounds.

Thought the standard of management was pretty poor tbh, even Coleman who everyone was raving about his 'achievements'

It was obvious that the players were still shell-shocked from their PL relegation and they retained a paper-thin confidence all the way to the end of the season

Yet this wasn't addressed by either manager

Thought they'd be more psychological assessment and planning for every single player, to make sure that they were full of confidence and believing that they were world-beaters

I think this is 80% of pro-sports at the top levels. These players obviously have the raw talent to get to the top, but it's the mental resilience under pressure that separates the good from the excellent
