Even worse. Breaking news?.
Why the fuck would you tell the world you've given noble a new contract ?

I believe they were probably hoping to bury it amongst the Brexit/PM no confidence vote news and probably even the fact that two English clubs made it through to the next round of the CL.

Woman at work just said she doesn't really like Harry Kane and he's thick as shit. She lives up his way. I laughed. I like to wind her up about Noble and it really winds her up. Guess this is her revenge.

Not met many people who genuinely don't like him. He's such an inovensive character.

West Ham have taken up an option to extend the contract of captain Mark Noble - tying the midfielder to the club until 2021.
Noble, 31, came through the ranks with the Hammers and made his debut in 2004, going on to make 446 appearances for his boyhood club.

The former England Under-21 international has started the last three matches as Manuel Pellegrini's side picked up nine points from their Premier League games.

Something quite sad about being described as a former England-21 international at the age of 31.

Edit, 31??? surely some mistake, my mums got more mobility than Noble and she's 70 had 2 hips and 2 knees.

In another newspaper I read that it will cost them £33 per seat just in rent. they already give a large chunk of seats away so those extra seats are going to be financial stone round thier neck.

It does seem very odd. As you say they're having to pull all kinds of tricks to get their current allocation to be even remotely filled up so why on earth they want to pay for all these extra seats is just beyond me.

Just a thought. I wonder if this is a way of appeasing some of the powers that be with regards to the original deal? By that I mean everyone is understandably pretty pissed off at the ridiculously suspicious deal that West Ham got and supposedly are investigating (not that I've heard much in the way of findings). So I wonder if someone has said to them "Look, this deal completely takes the piss and we're going to come at it like a tonne of bricks unless you agree to a more sensible one. Heads will roll, you mark my words" and the compromise from that has been rather than West Ham renegotiate the tenancy agreement, they've agreed to pay extra just in a semi-disguised way by being forced to take on the extra allocation for a high price even though they don't need it so that they're indirectly paying more rent. That way it sort of saves face for everyone.

Just a theory. Probably talking bollocks though. More than likely it's just that SUlivan, Gold, and Brady are just completely clueless and got their sums wrong.
