Match: Champions League (CL) - Group B Round 4

When: Tuesday, November 6th 2018

Where: Wembley Stadium

Kick Off: 8:00 pm

Form: ____ Spurs WDLWW _______ PSV WDWLW ___( All competitions)

We last hosted PSV in a European match in March 2008 at White Hart Lane in the UEFA Cup - we lost 0-1 to a goal from Jefferson Farfan. PSV 1-0 away win over us in the 2007-08 UEFA Cup is their last away win in England as they lost to Liverpool (1-3 in October 2008), and drawn with Man Utd (0-0-in November 2015) since then.

We are winless in five CL matches (D2 L3) our longest ever winless run in Major Euorpean competition. PSV have won none of their last 11 CL matches (D5 L6) since winning 2-1 against CSKA Moscow in December 2015. Three of the five English sides to achieve just one point or fewer from their opening 3 CL group stage games went on to qualify for the next round - Newcastle in 2002-03, Arsenal in 2003-04 and Liverpool in 2007-08.

PSV are the first Dutch club side to appear at Wembley since June 1971, when Ajax won 2-0 against Panathinaikos in that Season's European Cup final. None of our 10 home CL group stage matches have ended as draws, we have won 7 and lost 3. Should PSV win, we could become the second English team that the Dutch side have beaten more than once in away European games - they have also beaten Leeds United twice.

Our Harry Kane has the best goals per game ratio of any player in CL history to play at least 10 matches in the competition (0.85 - 11 goals in 13 matches).

Still think we can qualify. A good win tonight and a Barca win at Inter and all to play for when we play Inter next at Wembley. Oh I just wish this was at the Lane. The midweek European games were amazing. COYS.

If its about glory, and doing, then are you advocating a 2-3-5? :D that'd be some attacking lineup.

If we draw we should aim to come forth in the group over the other games, fuck the Europa league think our players could do with a rest from more games.

Must win game to stand any chance. No reason why we can't win this and also beat Inter, hoping Barca do us a favour.

Shit mentality

Disagree. The Europa League isn't a great competiton and we don't have the squad to cope anyway. I'd prefer we concentrate on the premiership and FA Cup rather than have our resources depleted by Thursday night trips to Ukrainian Farmers FC.

Aiming to lose matches is a crap mentality whatever way you want to look at it despite what's on offer.

You're right we shouldn't aim to lose matches but if we don't win tonight then personally I wouldn't go completely full strength in the remaining CL matches.

Not very interested about this.. What can you expect from Psv against Inter? They know they're out so probably don't give a shit anymore and I can see Inter beating them easily. We're out from this competition and that's because players are shitting in their pants towards the end. Hope that changes soon!

Although I tend to agree, we've got to be careful with that

There'd be a backlash from the media and UEFA may get the hump for bringing their 'flagship' competition into disrepute
