Kwp's ready to play in the EFL Cup, whatever the opposition.

He may have to play in PL games if we get injuries. Don't understand your point that Kwp's only good for games against lower division oppo. When's he going to get game time?

Yeah I'll concede that he's ready for this match but I was talking about our youngsters in general as Amos was mentioned, I'm sure of we had got paired against lower opposition then we'd be seeing more of them.

It’s the midfield Poch had to play really, but Wanyama/Winks/Sissoko has slowed my heart rate right down.

I’m off to watch the Eric Dier 17/18 YouTube highlight reel to get the blood pumping again.

Announcer just said "ball to Sissoko whose touch let him down". I love Sissoko but his touch often lets everyone down. No need to call him out with this known known.
What is it you love about him? Serious question

Poch hasn't taken the League Cup seriously since his first season. It's frustrating but I wouldn't read anything into this.

Quelled surprise

No striker equals no shape
Like him or loath him there is no reason for Sissoko to be on the pitch. Certainly not in a 433 without a striker. This isn't an issue of pace or quality, it's the lack of a focal point up front for our attack to move around. I really don't know what the fuck Poch is thinking here, Watford are awful.

Who's the sitting DM supposed to be. Winks needs to show more, and start off more moves.
I swear there's more invention from Dier, very disappointed so far

The front 3 isn't really working but that might be because the midfield isn't working

Pretty dry stuff

The first half vs Brighton quickly forgotten.
Whatever formation or players we are clueless up front.
It summed it up for me at the end of that half where Lamela had the ball and Dele had drooped deeper and tried to take the ball off of Lamela's feet. Get up front in some fucking dangerous positions Dele, that's where you played when you were good!!

Spurs tactics - run with ball, do shit all with ball
Watford tactics - let them run with ball, tire them out, hit them hard with 5 mins off playing footy
final score 0-1

Say what you like about Dier, I know I do, but he can pick a pass. Really want to see Winks strap on a pair of testicles and make some progressive use of his passing range.

Players look like they are going through the motions. How they start the 2nd half will show how much poch does or doesn't care about this competition

Have we really been that bad? The comments on here don't match the 45 minutes I've just witnessed. Considering half the side have had barely any minutes this season i'd say it was a decent enough showing. Lamela, Lucas and Dele have all been industrious, Winks looks like he's coming along nicely. The only negatives to pick out from that first half are the individual performances of Sissoko and Davies. Wanyama has hardly set the world alight either but he gets a pass due to lack of match fitness and sharpness. We're just lacking a final ball, which isn't uncommon when we don't have Trippier or Eriksen on the pitch.

What does Poch have to get out of these games? If we want to play a B team play a B team with a clear identity.
Exactly. It looks like our entire team with the exception of Lamela couldn't be bothered to show up for this one. I'd rather watch our youth who would actually give a fuck.
