They won't ever fucking admit it, they can't correlate the games vs united and juventus and poch not being able to make any subs was anything to do with the transfer window. They won't see players like Aurier, LLorente and Moura struggling because they were brought in with 10 mins left of their respective windows and they'll bring up the Van Der Vaart deal because once upon a time a near decade ago he managed to bring a decent player in and that means he's king of the fucking window forever more.
Don't forget Leeds United.

If we fail to make any signings, the hard-core Levy fans will probably say 'wait and see how the team gets on before you start complaining.'

the thing is the players we have been linked with so far bar Grealish have been in our strongest areas. I don't think Martial or Zaha are better than Son, and neither of them will enjoy being rotated, or Son will be very unhappy not getting enough play time. we really need a CM to replace Dembele unless Poch has plans to change formations and not use the double pivot.

to many got excited with the news we have a lot of money to spend compared to previous windows, unfortunately the values we believed we would get them for, does seem to of gone up way OTT

I never expected a super spending spree but my concern is that we will end up going through patches of playing pedestrian/one dimensional football again and fail to break teams down again like we did last season. It seems like when we don't have the full strength team out we do struggle a bit. I'm pretty sure that it was acknowledged that there are areas of the team that need addressing. I don't like doom mongering but equally I feel like there are people with short memories from last season.

or your opinion, because no one knows for definite how Poch feels, he will know what Levy has tried to do more than anyone in this forum including ITK's (unless any of our ITK's are Mrs Poch)

Of course nobody knows for sure. However, you dont have to be brain of Britain to have a sensible guess. Poch is on record as saying, the club needs to be brave, to do things in a different way, to get players in early. Well none of that has happened. Today he says he is not the one to ask why the club hasn't added to the squad. Would you be happy if your boss had convinced you to sign a new contract on the understanding your ambitions would be met, only to find out things remain the same?

Have to agree, i think someone in that modric role could have seen us break teams down a lot better and obviously not challange for the league but take a comfortable second.. I still fancy Eriksen for the role, just think hes got all the right attributes but i dont really know what i'm talking about.. whether its the lack of space created by the likes of a Zaha/Martial that we need to make it work and thats why we're chasing them as opposed to a CM.

You can also assume, in the meeting between Levy and Poch at the end of the season, Poch didn't say now Daniel, I'll sign a new contract, but dont you be buying any players so I might actually win something, so the club can win something

Pity that Real Madrid want, what 750 million for Modric? His ability and, importantly, experience would have been ideal.

Same. He’s available and affordable, so it stands to reason we’ve made no progress in a month.

He'll play on Monday for Villa, probably have the game of his life, probably score a goal, assist a couple more, you know the drill. Then that'll add a extra couple million to the asking price :)

We are so shite at transfer dealings. I bet Levy is offering a free xmas hamper, free petrol for a year, we'll valet their ground for them for 12 months, shite like this. What IS going on.

Calm down Levy hasn’t failed us yet. The market is stupid and we have to be prudent. Villa asking for the reported 40 M is criminal he’s a championship player with great potential . People bang on about Sissoko and how much he cost he had vast prem and international experience.
