Non home grown player and ITK has been pretty adamant that until foreign grown players like NKoudou and Sissoko are moved there wont be any foreign incomings.

Can still move them abroad after the english window closes. France should be the main goal with those two. They're much more likely to move if it's to their home than some random place. Vinny to fernebache seems done. Llorente back to Spain?

Should be the case, however I imagine the bald one is wanting too much for a big bag of nothing with those 4.

We've had more concrete links to the disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa than we have this guy.

There is an austrian player called Erwin Hoffer - nickname Jimmy

Profil: Erwin 'Jimmy' Hoffer

Tearing austrian bundesliga apart with Rapid vienna when he was young - but I wouldn't advocate a transfer to us personally

60 for Kovacic is actually a really fair price.

Maybe we can get him for that and spend the allegedly 90m we have earmarked for transfers on a canon that can send GKN or Sissoko out of the earths orbit. 1 in 1 out.

I'm personally not reading much into the 1 in, 1 out ITK but if that were to be the case then as long as that 1 in was either Kovacic or Martial then I'd be happy enough with the window.

Up to this point I've very much been keeping my cool and remaining calm but with a week left and what feels like nothing on the horizon, my patience is starting to wear thin.

60m for a player that isn't world class is a bit of a stretch. I'd say a fee with add ons that could reach that would be more likely. He's unfortunate to have Modric, Rakitic and Kroos as his direct competition but if Madrid were certain he would make it why would they sign Ceballos ? I still think he can be world class at some point but 60 for a player that is back up and barely plays is over inflated.

Yes but the market is over inflated. And I guess you mean Casemiro not Rakitic. In the national team though.

World class players don't go for £60M, it's not 2009.

Look at the world class players who've moved in the last few years:

Ronaldo (aged 33) - £88.5M
Coutinho - £106M
Neymar - £198M
Mbappé - £120M
Bale - £86M
Pogba - £89M

The level of player we've got moving for around the £60M nowadays are the likes of Mahrez (£60M), Lemar (£63M), Laporte (£57M), Aubameyang (£56M).

I wouldn't say those four were 'world class'. Very good players, yes, but they're not in the same echelons as Bale, Ronaldo and Neymar.

We need to get out of this mind set that £60M is a massive transfer fee. Yes it was 9 years ago, when Kaka moved for a record £56M before Ronaldo moved for another record of £80M, but we're not dealing in the 2009 market now. £60M buys you quality, but not the best players in the world.

£60M for a player of Kovacic's quality and age (he's 24) seems about right. In fact if you want to compare him to 27 year old Mahrez who many don't think has had more than one outstanding season then I actually think it represents a bit of a steal.

Haha really...you expect world class players for 60mil, add 100 on. Seems unlikely he's a target, but id say kovacic is the absolute best you'd get at that price (ignoring contract situations and release clauses which change the game)
