The PL has confirmed it won't have VAR this coming season but can easily see them caving for 2019/20.

It's going to be the fans complaining about VAR now who are yelling for it when their team is on the wrong side of a call next season.

The whole World Cup has been leading up to the Sun doing the headline ‘Don’t mention the VAR’.

Nah, we can stop harping about Sane. Gundogan is good enough, Draxler is good enough, Goretza is good enough, Brandt is good enough, definitely Reus is good enough. The success of Germany is always about team. This WC Germany has none AT ALL that won them the champions in 2014.

Lowe has a huge responsibility to shoulder.
Ozil is good enough.

I know. I just can't stand Ozil.

Who is favourite? Spain?
Brazil 17/4
Spain 9/2
Belgium 7/1
France 8/1
England 17/2
Argentina 14/1
Croatia 14/1

And based on the WC so far I can see Croatia beating Spain in their (barring shock defeats) quarter final.

Edit: Swedes and Danes both 80/1.

Croatia are class and Uruguay are strong. Could be the year an underdog triumphs.

One of Serbia's perennial problems has been mental frailty. Same was true of Yugoslavia before them, and of other Balkan club and national teams over the years. So it's perfect for them that they have such a straightforward proposition tonight: win, or go home. They'd be inside their own heads if there were a complex of permutations that could put them through. Could make it a very unpleasant game for Brazil.
