I really wish I could say I don’t remember them, but their appalling attempts to defend are forever burnt into my retinas :(.
You can still watch them for the Spurs Legends......good luck with that:)

Yes I was thinking when I was typing that Barnard was a poor Spurs mans Harry Kane!

They both had fairly impressive scoring ratios for the youth team, and a lot of people thought Barnard would make it for us. Got his chance and didn't make the grade. A bit like Obika.

I guess people were just naturally sceptical about Harry breaking the pattern.

That was the player we bought from Coventry.

Yeah, Calum Davenport. He was heralded as an upcoming CB, I mostly remember him for being pretty shit.

Anyone remember Alton Thelwell? As a naive kid, I thought he would be the new Ledley. How wrong I was.

Always liked Thelwell and the Lad Troy Archibald-Henville who is at Exeter City.

Ex- goalie Robert Burch. Played for us from 2002-2007. I say "played", he never did, but he stuck around for 5 years before retiring at the age of 29 after a bit of a poor career. IIRC he was on some of the earlier pro evo games for us

David Leworthy. 3 goals in 11 games. I had his panini sticker on my wardrobe for years. If I hadn’t I wouldn’t remember him at all.
Didn't he go on to be hugely prolific in whatever the Conference was called back then?

Phil Ifil, apparently only played three games for us - could have sworn it was at least a dozen or so. Think it was around the time the whole idea of academies began to take off. Drifted into obscurity after a short lower league career. Still only 30...

Going back a bit - Nico Claesen. Back when foreign signings were still an exotic novelty, he joined after the '86 World Cup where he helped Belgium to 3rd place (take note Toby, Jan, Mousa). But despite fans hoping he would be a big success, he never really established himself. Kind of the Soldado of his day. According to his stats scored 18 times in two seasons though, which is certainly a lot more than I remember.

I’ll never forget the time we started an FA Cup game at Old Trafford with Rory Allen and Neale Fenn up front.

Halcyon days...

Went to that game... One of my first proper away matches. Got one of the coaches that used to be booked by The British Queen, I was thankful that all the blokes on the coaches were proper up for getting a 15 year old drunk/high because I have very little recollection of that dark, dark day.

I do however remember the genius of Paul Mahorn, no amount of drink could erase the memories of that glorious bastard ;)

John Bostock was one that always puzzled me. Played a few friendlies and he was really impressive, but he was one of that crop that had a million loan moves around. He's since gone to Antwerp, Leuven and is now at Lens, but the funny thing is, he's still only 25.

Jamie Slabber - made one appearance for us coming on as a sub against Liverpool in 2003, and has since gone on to play for sixteen teams, including Greys Athletic four times.

Mbelulo Mabizela (sp?) - I remember the name and that he was a defender but more than that... blank.

And who was that lad who left our academy and went on to play all over the world in the J-League, K-League, Arabian leagues etc.? He's done interviews on his globe trotting career and i can picture him but can't for the life of me put a name to it.
