It was 'only Wycombe Wanderers'. We 'only played our reserves'. For a lot of the game we 'only had 10 men'. It was only my second game in the West Stand. Ticket was only £20. Sat next to us was only Paul Whitehouse. Sat a few rows in front of us was only our Dear Leader, Daniel Levy. To our right, only bloody Michael McIntyre (with Lucas! and Oscar!). Paid a lot more to sit a lot further away from him at Wembley Arena. Bloke in front of us was only Claude Littner. Not bothered. 'Only Wycombe' deserved a draw at the very least. They were superb, as was the Legend Akinfenwa. Surely game of the day. And one of my lasting memories of White Hart Lane. When you thought you'd seen it all. Can we stay at White Hart Lane forever? If only.

That game went pretty much exactly the same as the west ham 4-3 game.
2-0 down at ht.
Pull back to 2-2
3-2 down with 5 mins left.
Equalise in 89th minute
Winner in the last minute of injury time.

Is the full match available anywhere? Just looking at the score sounds like it was classic

What an unbelievable game! Really feel for Wycombe, they deserved a replay at least.

Crazy scenes at the end with a fan running on and celebrating with the players.

Have to say though that if Janssen is not deemed good enough to start against Wycombe then we need to go out and get another striker.

The best thing about the whole game was the warm applause of our fans towards their players and fans at the end of the game, and this continued outside the ground too. The police didn't know what to make of it! Says so much for our fans and their proper appreciation of football.

Worked pretty well against Gillingham...
Eriksen, Lamela & Janssen started that one and it was in the really Shitty EFL Cup thing - not a good comparison. IMO.
or As MoPo has just been quoted: "It is completely different to Spain and France. Here it is special - the team, the people is mad to try and lift the trophy. It is completely different to when you play Premier League or EFL Cup."

Let's hope it registers with him for the next round and we become "mad for it".

I get where you are coming from - but respectfully disagree. He made 9 changes, he fielded and inexperienced team who never play with one another - he took an unnecessary risk and he almost shot himself in the foot. It's not the first time he has done this and it has NEVER worked. EVER, NEVER EVER - and that is what is so frustrating.
Fine - you want to rest some players - The Full Backs are interchangeable. Bar that change one or two, like for like - but CV and Wimmer as your newbie CB pairing with Vorm behind them. Onomah (Bambi on ice) out of position etc etc - he took the gamble and disrespected Wycombe - believing that our second string, who never play together, would simply win the game. It was awful and a mistake that has been repeated 3 seasons on the trot - all for that coveted Cage spot that we screwed up this season.
Change 4 players - fine. But to risk it all to protect the first team in its entirety and almost get knocked out by a 4th tier team at HOME - was unbearable to watch and is still unbearable to swallow.
We win 4 more games we win the cup - surely that's worth going for?!?! A TROPHY M'Lord please - our current staring X1 should be biting at the bit to want to win a trophy, they've just had a week off in Spain!
Make trophy winning. habit and a desire for the starting X1.
Oh and play the entire second string forever in the Europa League. (worst trophy ever invented).
We win the FA cup this season and a top 4 finish - would be a brilliant result.

NEVER EVER works...

Apart from this time that is ;)

We made eleven changes from the previous league game and CCV and Wimmer were the CB partnership... (with Vorm behind them)

It's ok to admit it has worked before ;)

Nice gesture but I can't see that would've happened if we hadn't won, seems a bit like ruffling their hair.

Moaning about our supposed attitude to the FA cup and putting a reserve team out against a League 2 side is utterly ridiculous.

What a game.....

frankly.... i thot i was gonna be "one of those days" A stunning opening goal, a goalkeeper on his game, and us blowing our chances.

Think we showed character in our fight back. things really went against us in the match, but i am glad we came out on top.

There were more than a few comments like this on the terraces when Ledders first started with us...
Was too young when King made his Debut to remember but that is positive. Trust me, I want him to turn into a class player, like I do all Spurs players, but at the moment, he looks very shaky. Lets see, I'm not saying he wont make it!
