Yes but the genius of Ozil, Sanchez and Cazorla just makes our woeful Lamela look second rate apparently

How would you rate all 4? Granted, Cazorla plays a bit deeper so could be removed from the comparisons.

Not even Lamela's mum would rate him close to, let alone above Ozil and Sanchez!

Why does going top at this point in the season matter to some people?

maybe they are prone to premature celebration ejaculation?

The truth is, it doesn't matter - it means feck all.

I'm nearly sure United were double digits away from top spot far later in the season, once, but still went on to win the title. And I am also sure that the club who were top at this stage in the season last year didn't go on to win the title.

I don't know... maybe taking your chances and seeing the rewards of your hard work gives your more confidence and puts you psychologically in a better place....

Maybe it because we would be 6 bloody points better off than where we are now......

We didn't lose against a side good at home and off the back of scoring 6 in their last game. We're still unbeaten, we're still 3rd, get over it and move onto the next game.

Add in that they had a week to prepare for our game. Had a few extra days rest. And we were playing a Champions League game away in Germany.

Now that I've calmed down, here are my comments-

For this game, I think we needed a player like ..

1) a striker that could score from distance (Kane)

2) a speedy winger to stretch the already tired legs of the opposing defenders (GKN)

3) an intelligent player that could open up the opposing defence (like Isco) as we seemed bereft of ideas.

Bournemouth deserved a point because Howe is a very good manager who had studied our style of play and used the same tactics against us as we had used against City - the high press.

I think we are closer to our best when Toby is playing, not because he is a superman but because he brings a momentum to our game, when he wins the ball or collects a loose ball out of the opponents half he is already looking to start the attack again which he is good enough to do, and I think further up the field they are prepared for it.
It doesn't make us a one man team and he is not a match winner but it ups the odds in our favour enough to make the difference.
Agreed look at the balls he puts into Ali, that needed to sound slightly less like it did but shows how much he looks to set the attack

To be fair Ozil and Sanchez in our team today we probably win. These 2 are levels above anybody we have offensively... Sadly

Probably all 3 are regarded by the generic fan as superior to ours also sadly. Those 3 aside and Zxaka we are superior in all other areas. Gladly..

Our offensive midfield options are exactly where we need improvement.

........ I refer to what I said last week after the game against West Brom...

No excuses, we should be beating teams like these.

No point beating ManC to give yourself a great chance then fuck up completely against lowly minnows. Another pathetic and disappointing same old Spurs result...

This confuses me.......If its the same old Spurs then why is it disappointing? Surely you gotta be expecting it?

:D

Not really, I don't give a monkeys what they get up to.

I care what we get up to and shouldn't be relying on other results going our way for a bit of perspective.

The fact is, We did a brilliant job against ManC, then fucked up the two following results to completely waste what that great result was.

Today, was a pathetic result, there is not other perspective. If it wasn't for the same old Spurs, we could be sitting 4 points clear at the top of the table.
I don't care what they get up to I. Merely suggest a little perspective there are no easy games.

Dele and Christian are their equal on their day. In fact having watched both games they were better today.

On a positive note, Dembele and Wanyama make a monstrous midfield combo.

Think we're going to see good things this year

But as has been noted before we struggle with teams who use a similar pressing game to ours.
Today for example then leverkusen, liverpool, and i remember the spammers fucking us up doing the same at their place last year.
Whilst our unbeaten run is fantastic and morale boosting etc we tend to dominate most of the opposition with the ball, but in reality create very little threat in their goalmouth which teams now look to be noticing.

It really makes me feel dirty saying Arsenal players are better but I have to tell the truth.

Ozil and Sanchez really are levels above Eriksen All and Lamela. Not just a level... Plural...Levels above. They would both walk into our team instantly. On their day? Basically you mean when Alli and Eriksen play out of their skin when Ozil and Sanchez have a bad game, yeh maybe but that is once in a blue moon. Those 2 are genuine world class talent, sadly they play for Arsenal.

Well they weren't today.

Sanchez missed 2 sitters and Ozil was invisible.

I'm still intrigued at the high fee (as reported /rumoured) that we paid for Sissoko. He doesn't look like he'd score more goals than Son, Alli, Lamela or even Chadli (if he had stayed).
