I've been to Anfield twice now and it's been deadly quiet inside the stadium during the game both times. It's only the first five mins and the last five mins that people start singing You'll Never Walk Alone or make any noise.

We laugh, but if we don't take the right steps, this could be us at the new stadium. The single tier stand is a great idea but not if ends up half full of Chinese tourists - we need to ban them from that area and revoke the season tickets of anyone caught filming with their mobile phones instead of supporting the team.

They can go in the other parts of the stadium and sit there in silence, filming with their mobile phones. It's not just Chinese tourists of course, it's the non participating football fan in general that has to banned from certain areas. If no action was taken the kop at Anfield would end up and with 12000 people filming each other and wondering why no one was singing ynwa. It's becoming like a safari trip to too many, and their very presence in endangering the native species they come to see.
