I believe theres a lot of pressure from multi million pound sponsorship deals that have a bearing on England team selection.
Thats the only logical reason I can come up with to explain shit like Walcott going to a tournament when he hadnt played 1 minof PL football or Roys comments regarding Wiltshire when the bloke is a fkin cripple.
No one with any football sense would be picking a team of cripples when the alternative can do that.
Twats on TS crying for Terry to come back ffs.

Lennon should've been in the squat over Walnut, even gooners think he's shit

Just a taster for England, still Pritchard. Walker P, Onamah and winks coming up

And kyle Walker should be ahead of clyne

Walker can't dribble and can't cross, he's also passive and gives opposing defenders an easy time, he'll be comfortably dealt with in tournament football.

Defensively he's better than Clyne but the cross for Vardy's goal and the stepover and cross shortly afterwards are things that Walker can't do.

It's a dilemma.

what made a huge difference was me listening to it and the commentator saying THEY looked done in with ten minutes left, while we still had enough in us to stretch them - another tick in the "pick the new generation" column, it'd make a change from seeing Milner, Rooney & Carrick huffing and puffing their way into the last ten minutes.

England never used to press like that...just saying.

Agree. Henderson, Clyne and Lallana a big part of that as well with Klopp's influence.

Fantastic performance from England and our lads especially. Admittedly, I did worry Rose was going to be exposed at International level, but he was brilliant. Shame Alli missed, but he's done enough to start for me. Although to be fair I thought Barkley was very good when he came on as well.

Vardy extremely dangerous too and if Sturridge can get back playing regularly we are going to be extremely potent in attack.

Defensively though we will be exposed. Not sure there is much Woy can do. The days of Terry, Rio, King, Campbell, Cole and Neville etc are long gone. We just don't have many great defenders any more.

Still, an England team that excites me. Who'd have thought it?

Taking nothing away from our performance, I agree with Lothar Matheus we deserved the win, but you couldn't help but notice how important Hummels is to Germany when he wasn't there in the second half.

Just watching the post match show and the German manager is on saying England deserved it, even at 2-0 he didn't like how undynamic Germany were.

Fair play...

As for England. Thar was fun. Can England be like that more often please?!
Clyne wasn't good enough, perhaps not protected enough by Llanana, but still.

Great to see England's premier league top strikers both scoring, quality. Yes I thought Tottenham's players were the best, but there was great stuff to see across the pitch.

I love all the goals but somehow Dier's was my proudest. He was his usual self, quietly effective, so to grab a goal at the death and show he has a total game...
Loved it.

Well done England. A quality friendly.

That also had Tottenham Esq written all over it. The high pressing and the fact we came from behind. The future is bright for England the future is Spurs!

We were good before but when Vardy came on it changed the game, his pressing was vital in our come back. You have to start Vardy, Kane and Alli.

Not only were the Spurs players the best, but I thought they inspired the other players and made them play better. Lallana, Clyne and even Henderson got better as the game went on.

We only have to find some half decent centre backs and we will be in with a shot.

It would be great to see a ratings thread for this game?

Dier 9
Kane 9
Rose 9
Alli 9 etc.

I'm definitely not one to get carried away where England are involved but I've been saying for a while that we have got good players and I think we have a chance of doing well in the summer. We desperately need some centre backs though.

Good to see the spurs boys do so well, couldn't give to fucks about the English international side without the exception of our guys doing well. Hope Roy changes it against Holland.
