England matchwinner Eric Dier speaking to ITV: "I told Jordan Henderson to put the corner to the front post, he had put a few to the back post. He put it right there and I got my head to it. I'm delighted."

Boss.

Danny Rose was incredible tonight.

The hype about Spurs is about to go supernova. Hope we can handle it.

very happy for young Harry and Eric

Dele should've had one as well but he def had a big impact on the match anyone else notice he's wearing Rooneys 10 shirt? Foreshadowing imo

Finally have some reason to watch England. Hope our boys get rested in the next one though!
Heard in commentary that Roy was planning on giving every outfielder a start, which would mean 10 changes. Having said that, playing like tonight I'm sure a part of him would like to see if this side can replicate that performance.

Great comeback and performance overall. Massively proud of our lads who were arguably the best four players on the pitch tonight. Puts the 'sobering' result against Dortmund in to context imo. They didn't beat Spurs, they beat Spurs at 50%

I don't trust Hodgson though. Fair enough squeeze Rooney in for Welbeck perhaps at a push but I can see him picking Wilshire no matter what and Walcott.

Hart, Walker, Smalling, Cahill, Rose, Dier, Alli, Henderson, Rooney, Vardy, Kane. Not too shabby a starting line up and it allows Hodgson to keep Rooney in ( I'm still one of the few that thinks he can still produce something ) and its a side that will go out to try and win every game. Nice to have options upfront, but again, I just don't trust Hodgson!

Oh, and have to say, we really missed Mark Noble out there tonight. I expect the cries for his inclusion to die down ever so slightly now haha!

I know it was friendly and I know Germany are a different proposition come tournament time, but that was a very good performance, especially without the ball, but with it too. A team performance, a team working for each other. No big individual charlie potato heads trying to do the fucking impossible, no Rooney running into blind alleys, no Gerrard trying to whack every ball 70 yards. I really liked that 433, I think it is Alli's perfect position and that's the best 90 minute performance he's played all season, just a shame he didn't bury that glorious chance, but otherwise he was very good. I think that is pretty close to England's best 11.

I believe theres a lot of pressure from multi million pound sponsorship deals that have a bearing on England team selection.
Thats the only logical reason I can come up with to explain shit like Walcott going to a tournament when he hadnt played 1 minof PL football or Roys comments regarding Wiltshire when the bloke is a fkin cripple.
No one with any football sense would be picking a team of cripples when the alternative can do that.
Twats on TS crying for Terry to come back ffs.

It's really sweet seeing his love for Poch blossom. :smug:

That happened last season.

After the bust up involving Capoue, Lennon, Ade, and Kaboul (allegedly), I remember saying that Pochettino had a great opportunity to build a team around our young players, and that he could create a team we'd all be able to love again.

He's done exactly what I was hoping for (and more), and I've been a Pochettino fan ever since.

I thought Lallana, Wellbeck and Clyne all played surprisingly well and that the real weaknesses were the two CBs. Even Henderson played well. Felt sorry for Butland but he should have gone down for treatment. Our four players were the candidates for MOTM with an honourable mention for Vardy.
