It took me about 2 minutes to work out this guy is a step above.
Amazed at some of the mixed feedback i've read.

Let's remember the January window: everyone expecting signings last day we'd had talk of Sneijder, Damaio etc, what happens? Jenas out, Townsend loan.
Result: Underwhelmed, frustrated, #signafuckingstrikerlevy

Summer 2012: 'Welcome... Joao Moutinho'; all day waiting, then some crock of shit thing late on about papers and he wasn't even in the country.
Result: Cheesed off, underwhelmed, Clint Dempsey.

Winter 2012: Nelsen and Saha.
Result: Picketing Levy's house, mass boycotts, suicides etc

Whatever happens tomorrow: Lamela, Chiriches, Paulinho, Chadli, Eriksen, Soldado, Capoue is cracking business especially Lamela.

It's been a great ride and I remain content that this window, for once, we actually did it right.
As much as we hate to admit the success of our window all depends on our rivals. If it stays the same we have won imo. That said if big signings to our rivals happen tomorrow, we havent been successful as in point of view you could say by announcing it a day before the end of the window we may of helped arsenal sign their targets from Madrid.

whatever happens on last day, I think we've done cracking business...we've lost one top player, who made it clear he wanted to go, and replaced him with seven internationals...that's good work, esp as levy made sure he got them in first before bale left so we weren't ripped off...ok arse result was disappointing, but let's judge the team later in the season when all the players have had time to settle in etc

Why do people keep talking about us spending 100 million pounds, as if that is a pure net investment? We have brought in more money in sales than we have spent in bringing players in. We've lost the most devastating match-winner in the world football (on most recent form), so the least we could do is reinvest the money in the team. That's not even mentioning the massively lucrative television deal that was supposed to give us enough money to invest with Bale staying another season.

We have a huge need for an upgrade at left-back and if Adebayor goes, we are an injury away from Defoe leading the line. We have money, as the Willian near deal showed, so why wouldn't we spend it if there are targets out there that improve us?

Ozil to Arsenal would be a huge blow, and should be enough to have Levy place a permanent moratorium to ever selling to them again. If you want to sell your best, offer them to PSG first, as Madrid have shown they are a complete menace to deal with (the fact we couldn't even get Coentrao from them really pisses me off).

Why are we still guessing at 45 mil players? The goat elaborated that this was Benzema + ? (cryptic to come) = 45 mil

Sorry Beats, what everyone else does is beyond our control, if Arsenal want to buy Madrid players we can;t stop them it's largely a free market.

All that concerns me is what we're doing and we've signed loads of good players, prior to the deadline despite losing our talisman.

So we've had a bad window then yeah? Maybe just about broke even all said and done?

Messi and Ronaldo could rock up and there'd be bitching about the 6th choice yoof keeper.

Might even be a signing or two more to come.

Well we can actually, we just piss them off and say no sell to rivals clause otherwise face a fine or we just drag it on till the last day so that they can sell Ozil to arsenal and then we let have Bale it will be too late to sell for them.

For example Arsenal havent been linked with Ozil until the deal was close to be announced.

Sorry mate, that bears no relation to the real world.
We have no idea how long Arsenal have been in contact with Madrid for.

Well if we get Ozil then we have no reason not to be title challengers. The problem is all signs point to Arsenal and Man United and quite frankly if they are in on him, Real Madrid won't give a shit about our partnership and Ozil will prefer them to us.

The best we can hope for is if we do indeed go for another signing or two, they are either good complimentary or starting players (LF/Striker and LB). I highly doubt we pull anyone that's worth 45m out of the hat tomorrow.

It's going to be a tough season but we've got the depth to last and stick around. We desperately need to show more on the pitch. But, as it's been said at least once an hour for the past month or so, it takes time to gel.

If and when he settles in the country and feels comfortable and secure he's gonna be one of the best in the prem and then the world. I can see it in him. Just needs to orientate himself and them BAM!

There's something engimatic about him which I like as well.

Born to play football this one.

I'd love us to go all out for Baines. Fuck it, I wouldn't even be arsed if it was £20m+, we're in profit and we could easily afford it. It might be too much but sometimes you've got to pay over the odds and Everton aren't really going to be a threat with that sort of money even. I'd go as high as £18m and Benny.

What a ridiculous comment. Go look through my recent posts here where I specifically laud several of our signings and talk about what a blinder Levy and Baldini have played this transfer window. Or go look at my half dozen posts describing in detail how absolutely phenomenal Christian Eriksen is (or before that, me telling people here how laughable it is that anyone would contend that Sigurdsson was in his class).

However, the idea that we should freeze our spending because we've already spent 100 million pounds doesn't really make sense to me. We still have a huge need at left-back, and if Adebayor is sold, we are thin at the striker position.

We have clearly decided to go for it and there is no reason for us to have weaknesses in the squad, as I believe left-back currently is. Others don't agree, which is fine. AVB clearly doesn't like what he has back there, as there is overwhelming evidence that he wanted Coentrao, and there are even reports we looked at a loan deal for Balzaretti.
