I am over gorged, this is silly.

I had far too much out at the restaurant with the missus. Bring on the signings !!!!!!

No seriously. It might be an issue that deserves slight thought when sober

This. Is. Insane.

Only a few weeks ago we were worried whether Paulinho would choose us when the Confederations Cup was over. Then we had the usual transfer window angst about never buying a top striker.

Now here we are, with still time left in the window and an apparent intention to keep spending, with seven - that's SEVEN - top-quality new signings. Unless I have forgotten any - or we've signed somebody else in the time that it's taken me to write this.

There has never been, and will never again be, a transfer window like this one.

I used to think Arnesen and Comolli were quality directors of football, and yep, they did some good things but fuck me, Baldini has shown the way this summer.

A lot of credit must go to him ;)

To be fair, he's had a few more quid to play with than any other DOF we've had.

Just a couple of things to clear up from the last few pages (apart from numerous sets of soiled under garments)...

All 3 registered in time to be included for Sundays game, they all trained with the squad today as well...

All the shirt holding/wearing pics taken at about the same time this morning... announcements spread out over the day, to maintain that feel good factor and possibly to tip the goons over the edge with each one that signs..

I hear, 2 more in, 2 more out (assuming Bale has gone already, still no confirmation, funny that)...

BAE, Adebayor out... so a left back & striker in...

No names, not heard who it might be, there are some obvious ones mentioned in the media, Coentrao, Hulk etc.. do not be surprised (and this is my opinion) an attempt to sign Baines on Monday...

The Mail are saying Tom Carroll has been offered to Ajax on loan. Brilliant move for him if true

I really like Dembele, but Carroll is a real head up, pass and move footballer and I think the style of football we are trying to play, I think there are going to be as many games I could see Carroll being useful instead of Dembele in the same position. Dembele gives you more tenacity off the ball, but Carroll is without doubt the better user of a football.

LB and striker in. At least Baldini AVB and co are on the same wavelength as us and can see the two areas we need to improve.

No doubt Rose will feel a little conned if we bring in Coentrao, after wanting regular first team football and presumably being promised that. Meh.

A quality upcoming striker who can play on the wings and Coentrao would round off the best window ever.

I know people HATE me going on about ratings BUT, whether it was a mistake or not, why on earth that got a "Doh" is beyond me? I don't think it can be understated just how fucking AMAZING it would be if, after the obvious improvements we've made to our 'squad', we somehow end up breaking even or, as you intimate, end up posting a PROFIT.

Crazy business. Baldini for PM, Levy for Chancellor of the Exchequer, AVB can just be cool.. COYFS

Ignore the ratings, most of them are positive anyway!

I'd go for baines. Prem experience and good quality. Also English so would help the quota a little even if that's not the be all and end all.

I suspect he's got his heart set on man utd but if we go in with a good bid they might just sell to us to piss manure off.

Regarding pledges, I don't think any of us expecting this kind of activity and the last thing we'd want is anyone to get themselves into difficulties because they feel forced to donate. If you can't afford it, don't :)

Could this window get any weirder ?

Been an amazing night, sat with family and we have followed Spurs for generations, my father brought me up a Spurs fan, he saw Greaves, White, Blanchflower, we are all literally stunned and proud :)

Baines....now that would be epic. Would be stunned if united didnt match our bid as moyes is desperate for a big signing.

I still reckon Coentrao and Vadillo. Both should be easy deals given we hold the keys to the bale deal and vadillo has a reasonable buy out.

Remember when you were young, Levy didn’t get it done
Sign on the dotted line man
Now there's a look in your eyes, Spurs reach for the sky.
Sign on the dotted line man
You were caught with an offer of millions and stardom,
blown by a Bahamas breeze.
Come on you target for Dippers and Gooners
come on you Soldier, you Legend, you Martyr, and sign!
They reached for Paulinho too soon, then cried at the moon.
Sign on the dotted line man
Threatened by Capoue in full flight, and exposed by his might
Sign on the dotted line man
Well at the Lane you are welcome with shooting precision,
The dream that is AVB’s
Come on Christian, you creator of visions,
come on Lamela, and Chadli, Impaler, and sign!

I really doubt that we'll pay what Everton would want for Baines and that they would sell him on deadline day. Would be horrific business on their behalf.

He'll get regular football will Rose. 20 odd games at least I'd wager. If he's unhappy with that next summer then so be it. He can be part of a squad at a club looking to push on and win things or a regular starter at a mid-table club. Totally his choice.
