I know this is unlikely, but I have to say -

Keeping Bale >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lamela or Willian

Come on Gareth, you know who you were born to play for.

Respectfully disagree. I think Lamela is due a season like Bale's previous one. More of a polished player than GB was at his age too.

Spanish window closes the same time as ours. (y)

We need a pinned post that says:

- La Liga window does not close on a different day from ours (http://www.epfl-europeanleagues.com/leagues_transfer_window.htm)

- We are set to get £35+ mil in EXTRA tv money this season (and every season going forward)

- Joe Lewis has reportedly loaned the club £50 mil interest-free for 10 years

(Forgot one)
- There is no minimum number of homegrown players per squad (unless you want to name a 25 man squad)

You can add "Homegrown players only matter if you want a full squad of 25"

I think that seeing as the bookies have bale at 10/1 to stay, Levy should make him stay, put £3 million on it and it will give us the £30 million to pay for Lamela so its a win win situation. Sorted.

In - Chiriches, Coentrao, Lamela, Eriksen, Damaio. (£85m ish)
Out - Bale, Ekotto, Ade. (£100m ish)
Job done.

Little pot of leftover cash for Franco to go academy/development shopping during the winter months.

This is not ITK from me, just opinion based on ITK I have read recently on here, but I do actually think it is feasible and very likely.
Lamela first up, then Bale and Benny out, Coentrao and Chiriches to come in. Eriksen next, finishing with Ade out and Damaio last in.

that would be great, although we'd pretty much have to average one signing per day from now until the window closes, difficult to see us doing that.

I still think Madrid will struggle to raise the 1st downpayment. Base on ITKs input, its a whopping 60M pounds. Madrid need to rid at least one star player on cash term to meet the payment. That is a pretty complex deal to pull in few days.... if Ozil is sold to United, Bale will definitely go to Madrid. So far there isnt any deal.....

its looks increasingly like Levy time again....didnt think I would be saying that a week ago

I hope not. I want all our dealings out the way by Monday so we can turn the lights out at the training ground and we won't have Jim bloody White saying we are off to Tottenham because someone has farted in the changing room.

agree, but also best to get lamela now as we know even if ee kept bale it would only be a season, lamela seems like hell be off regardless, at his age showing better than (isaid at his age compared to bale at same) plus if he progresses , which signs show they will hell be far more expensive n prob not getable.

Any info on Lamela? Even if Bale stays, I hope we proceed with this.
1) Protects us if Bale decides to underperform
2) protects us next year, when Bale with just 2 years left on his deal will be sold for a lesser fee.
3) Lamela's star is rising so it's now or never.
4) you can fit Bale and Lamela in the same side in a 4231 (in certain matches)

Ha ha, every time I see your user name, I picture you as Karl from idiot Abroad :D

still a week of this shit to go...I always hoped Bale would be our Giggsy or Gerrard (in terms of loyalty).

Giggs won the Champions League twice with his club. Gerrard won it once and had the benefit of Scouse gangsters making death threats if he were to leave.

We've failed to qualify the last two years and out ambition and success has not matched his. On that basis is it really surprising that he wants to leave?
