They may offer more money to Anzhi in fewer payments. And given the respective ownerships, you wonder whether Chelsea would even put it all through the books.

The club has to think very seriously before it agrees to panic buy in the last week of the window as part of a Bale sale.

It makes me nervous when TSH gets pessimistic. I always think he knows something I don't.

We need Willian. Chelsea don't. They've got so many good players in that position/role.

Don't worry, I know absolutely nothing.

Just feels like a couple of previous transfers where things have previously looked 'done' only for something to go wrong.

So, 'reported' that DL is sooooo mad he's turned green and is threatening to pull out of any deal with rm for bale over chelski coming in for Willian.
Get lamela and countrao and keep bale through the middle? Yes please!

Surely keeping Bale for one more season isn't unthinkable. Even if we had a to write a clause in his contract, allowing him to move to one of the European giants (only, no Prem teams) next summer. He's only just 24, and a player of his ability probably has another decade of football at the top (if not more).

It will be a sad day for English football, when the best British player in the world leaves the Premiership.

Even if he stays until January he should play enough games to get his Premier League Champions medal :)

did anyone hear graham roberts on talkshite? saying coentrao was supposedly close? leys hope for a treble signing today eh lads :)

Long time lurker, first time post. I'm of the opinion that if someone can't make up their mind whether they want to play for us or not, then politely go and play for someone else (F/off). I am only interested in players who want to come or stay because we are Spurs.

I see where you're coming from but I think we should wait for the facts before condemning him. This guys agent is a fucking parasite. Who knows what's going on.

Hi, I'm not just getting at Willian but anyone else who doesn't put Spurs first.

Forget Willian. I'm done with him. His agent wants to be an asshat, his club want to get cold feet. Fine. Bye Willian. Focus on Lamela, tell Madrid they can't get Bale because of the Willian thing so he stays. Boom. Sorted.

he's normally v reliable as a source of info. did he mention if dependent on bale.....

I haven't seen much of the boy to be honest. I find it amazing that we all rate him so highly and I'd say at least half of us haven't really seen enough of him to make any sort of judgement. We need to calm down and just let the events unfold. I'm prett certain that we have enough in our locker to go out there and find someone else. Be positive boys :) 30 million gets you a lot of player and there are plenty of other clubs out there with very good playmakers for that sort of money that our very good FB will know of :)

It's not sorted. Lamela is the same type of player as Bale. Great wingers/inside forwards but not that creative livewire we've been missing since Modric left. Even if we get Lamela and keep Bale, we still need a playmaker imo.
