Capoue's wiki page now says that he plays for Tottenham Hotspur!

No it doesn't. It now says that "The deal was cancelled when he was caught by French authorities to be running an illegal Bonobo fight club (first rule of Bonobo fight club is rub your genitals on everything)."

Curious who the others going are. I would presume Bale, but if we kept Bale then maybe Lennon/Townsend and BAE?

That's the 2nd rule of Bonobo Fight Club, the 1st rule is YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT BONOBO FIGHT CLUB!!!

I'd assume Townsend, BAE and Adebayor. Lennon is actually our only natural right winger as Chadli is more of an inverted winger than anything.

Yeah, I'd really like to see what Townsend could do though. I've been impressed so far

Thing is if you want to bring in Lamela and keep Bale, Townsend would be the guy who was already going to get scraps in terms of match minutes getting marginalized more. And, if we're talking about who we would rather have long-term, no question it has to be Lamela over Townsend.

U guys think/hope when he capitalizes "Will" from then on he's talking about Willian? :wacky:

I'm just amazed it took someone nearly 30 minutes to suggest that. I know it's the night shift, but normally we'd be on that like a pack of wolves, agreed it definitely meant we were signing the Brazilian, had ten pages of arguments about whether we'd rather have him or Lamela, five pages of formations, and then three pages of people criticising the grammar of all of the above.

You're slipping, lads.

Townsend wouldn't necessarily have to be the fall guy. If Lamela was to come in, it could be at the expense of Sigurdsson and possibly even Lennon.

Sig is reportedly on big wages and I would expect Lennon to be on a similar amount whereas Townsend will be on peanuts and is much more diverse than both Sig and Lennon.

I know right :ROFLMAO:, when I first thought of it I said to myself "surely im wasting my time posting it, someone else more :wacky: than me will suggest it", then posted it and thought "man, i'm on fire", then I realized it's the night shift....

This is a fantastic time to flog Townshend if we're bringing in that quality...his price will never be higher for us, the selling club, to retrieve...I suspect that if he was a firm factor in AVB's plans we'd have heard about it by now...probably not impressed with his decision making/inability to pass regularly?

as excited i will be with a Lamela signing and Bale staying etc (which will only be for a year probably :'() should we really sell Townsend? i know he probably won't want this but how about we loan him out one last year? or if we sell put in a buy back clause? i just feel that he will become a big big player & we will majorly regret selling him :( i don't think selling players that can make a positive impact on our team is ever a good idea.
I actually feel he is a better player & looks more threatening than Chadli atm too :( but i ain't seen a lot of Chadli i will admit.
