Just reading 'Private Eye', bit of a break from here and to my surprise, there is no escape from ITK, or in this case, Ryantegan:

"Levy could go for Suarez to fill the void," declared a triumphant Mail in what seemed like quite a scoop about Luis Suarez moving to Tottenham. The Mirror and Telegraph were similarly exercised by this revelation.
Unfortunately, Suarez's agent, Suarez himself and even Tottenham knew nothing of the proposed move- possibly because the entire story was concocted by angry Spurs fans [Ryantegan] to exact revenge for Sky News's coverage of the potential departure of Gareth Bale from Tottenham.
On the morning the Suarez "news" broke, Spurs fan forum users shared, with glee [and were told off by mods :) ] , a series of national news articles littered with quotes, phrases and rumours they had written the previous day in an orchestrated creative writing exercise.

Private Eye: circulation 225,000.
They and their readers know you are a troll, Ryan ;)

Does this mean we aren't going to sign Suarez?

Don't worry, Private Eye readers are already raving conspiracy theorists. See it as a recruitment drive as they will fit in well on this site.

I may be mistaken, but I think I'm right in saying that London is closer to Cardiff than Manchester is. If you want to come up with reasons why he would throw his toys out of the pram, you'd probably better forget about that one.

London is 30 miles closer

But another one has passed. I'm confident. Loving the new ITK, fits with the RM presidents change of attitude today. I actually think that the Bale shit is over for this window. Only worry is a left-field from Barca or Man U - that still concerns me.

Bale is the antitheses of Barca's style of play - they won't bid for him.

Levy would not sell to Man U this season - not with with Fergie gone and us with a genuine shot of competing with them on equal terms.

Worry about Real stepping up with a £100m bid - Man U and Barca are nothing to worry about mate

Not saying I don't believe Jacob's ITK just that I believe it is incorrect.
The first statement that Perez is the only one who wants Bale is patently obviously not the case, Zidane obviously does and other players have put their twopenny worth in too, as for Ronaldo he is schooled in English football and Manchester United in particular so won't answer a direct question about Bale and because he didn't the media decided they'd interpret it in a negative way.
When I saw Ronaldo say what he said I immediately thought right son you know how to behave, mind you they'll pick you up on it.
He may actually think that they need to strengthen other positions to be able to challenge for the CL first but that still doesn't equate to what Jacob is saying.

I read the stuff jacob said about about some of the RM players discussing the Bale transfer negatively over a team dinner in one of the papers (Sunday Times I think) a few days ago. It said Ramos, Ronaldo and Casilas were talking about it (the transfer) negatively, saying why spend that much money on him etc.

Ian Hislop is the editor of private eye and a spurs fan. Maybe he is a member on this site. Could be were it was picked up from.

I was in Spain on holiday a few months ago (not Benidorm) and all the locals are talking about how brilliant Bale is.
I don't think we should underestimate how popular and feted our boy is.
