I too agree that he has more humility than is being portrayed.
In reality, the newspapers are dominated by supporters of teams that play in red shirts
We are building something pretty strong here, with AVB and Lloris, Verts, Sandro and Bale at the core. People are worried, naturally.

Is there anything like the life of a Spurs fan? On one hand we hear of the imminent arrival of the striker we've been desperately seeking for years... and on the other hand we hear of the potential departure of our super star. WTF?
That said...
I don't see Bale leaving this window. He may be angling for a move, but Levy won't let it happen for anything less than the figure he has in his mind. If that's 100M, so be it. Bale seems like a good professional who won't pull a modder or berba and spend the rest of the season in a perpetual huff.
Many may hate Levy for his transfer policies -- but when it comes to getting the most from letting players go, there's no one like him in the world. Bottom line: it's a cold day in hell that we get take the bum end of an outgoing transfer.

I'm not denying that! That's what these bastards do to you!
But at the same time if we'd have left bale off our advertising then people would be understandably suspect. Bale is bt's biggest signing yet they've left him off the leaflet. May be down to some kind of crazy marketing aiming certain players tI certain regions (I'm from Nottingham though...) but bt leaving bale off their advertising is like barca leaving messi off theirs (or us leavIng bale off!) you just wouldn't do it without reason!
Time for someone from bt sport to give us some itk! Lol

Before I stumbled upon this forum a couple of years back (my main spurs feed was newsnow which meant I read Harry Hotspur/vital spurs/triffic tottenham etc...) it always seemed to me that POTL was a joke, I know the blue and yellow thing didn't work well (did he ever confirm what that meant?) it's only since being in here that POTL is clearly the oracle of ITK'S! Maybe it's the mystery with his name "Phantom of the lane" that gives him a mystique if you will, and he doesn't post that much. I'm sure I read somewhere before that he is/was Lennon's agent, however I think agents have better things to do than go on spurs forums to give cryptic clues out!!
I wonder if every team has their own POTL? I.e POTE (phantom of the emirates) or POTC (Phantom of the cottage) hmmmm....

Not Itk but different campaigns by bt might not include bale. Ie, targeting gooners. All they need to do is email the leaflet company and order all different ones, send them out at different times etc

The prospect of Soldado was more exciting when the Bale stuff wasn't so much in the air, still doesn't take away from the quality of the signing though, obviously. To sign Paulinho and Soldado would really just be fantastic, the prospect of them in the team with Bale and (hopefully) a slightly further forward Dembele is incredibly exciting.
