Don't get too excited about the 50 million thrown around. Any signing will still need to check all of the boxes for Mr. Levy. We have 50 million to spend if the opportunities arise for the right signings at good value. Chances are that won't happen.

I wish the player the Goat was on about was VDV though. I still cry myself to sleep at night.

If we do end up spending another £40m+ this summer, my flabber will gasted.

A&C spends all afternoon trying to come up with an uber cryptic, but most people are still trying to solve Atlanta Yids flawed mathematics...fucking priceless :)

Is the goat doing the cryptic for fun or because the information is sensitive?

If its for the latter then I can't see it being Sandro as there is no reason to be super secretive about it.

For some reason, I immediately thought of Berbatov as the answer to the cryptic.

Van der Vaart would be epic but can't see it.

Without wanting to piss on the biscuits, I don't buy the idea of there being an exact set amount for transfers in this or any window, because that's not the way we handle our finances. If you've taken the time to read the very interesting writings of Edmonton, and I think also perhaps whiskah? you'll have learned that we don't budget for transfers in that way - we spread payments over a number of years, and with different incentives built in, and thus we adjust our budget going forward as those players' values rise or are sold on and money is recouped. It's why Daniel Levy is so much more willing to invest big money in a young player with potential than an established star - he's essentially borrowing money from the club's reserves, or as debt, secured against the value or likely increasing value of the player, or speculating to accumulate.
While I'm far from a financial expert - one look at my spiralling overdraft would tell you that - I think this is the reason that we'd never have a set budget for a window - rather each case would be judged against its merits and the likely increase in value over future years of the asset we're purchasing.

We all do, acceptance is a big part of life, we all needed closure on this, just like Ross and Rachel, we were let down, let down..

What names from the past are big enough to sponsor the stadium?
HP is surely "present", autonomy are now HP, Holsten don't do much in the UK any more...
Pony?

Has the cryptic been confirmed yet? I'm just asking because I'm not sure whether I should be getting Chimbonda or Keane on the back of my new Spurs shirt.
