Both are being touted around the £20m mark, so I'd imagine we could do deals at £18m+ add ons maybe?

You'd hope then we'd be able to recoup up to £15m from the likes of Defoe, Hudd and Parker, leaving a net outlay of £38m. We've not seen that since the summer of Bent, Bale, Kaboul and KPB.

Yeah it's odd. For all my life we've been a crap team carried by exceptional forwards (Lineker, Sheringham, Klinsmann, Keane, Berbatov etc). Since 2008 we've become a really good team let down by our crap forwards (the 11-12 Ade/Rafa year aside).

Turn up with a bit of optimism and you get instantly drowned in pessimism!

We're winning next year and I've got a big bet on at 40/1 so I ain't thinking about anything other than winning! Should that happen a large chunk of the wedge will be coming SC's way!

What you said this morning about AVB needing to be convinced about Bernard. What do you make of what Jason Burt wrote in the Telegraph last night.

the ITK looks to me like the club has been put on its honour to keep the promises made to Bale, if it does then he stays.
