The other thing I heard (sorry not spurs related) Fulham want Bent.

Maybe with the new money that will change

Man, I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole these days.

I follow the NFL closely and despite Khan being a billionaire, I don't think they've really spent big. A lot of that has to do with the salary cap that's in place and the fact that Jacksonville is such an atrocious team that most free agents won't even explore the idea of going there.

So, either he's a rich owner that won't really spend or now that he's somewhere where he can spend freely (Fulham) he will let it loose.

Either way, hopefully they spend big for Huddlestone. I'd much rather see him go there than Sunderland.

Thanks for sharing. I'll be interested to see how Livermore does with consistent match minutes. If he were to perform at a good level, he could really have some good value either as a backup to Sandro or in a sale.

Think it's worth stating that this knowledge is from Norwich not spurs. But agree would love to see how he performs over a season.

Also the Parker link is from west ham ex player. Good friend they want him let's wait and see.

Edit: after reading seemed a bit flash saying I'm friends with a footballer. His 80's it's fine and not flash and as I said its west ham.

Few more stories in the press about Benteke, suggestions we'll bid £20m.
He seems to want to come and we don't seem that far apart on a fee.
Could this really happen? Daniel finally gets his £20m + striker; one that actually wants to come?

It'd certainly change the mood of a few posters & crush any argument that Andre isn't being supported.
Intriguing...

I honestly think that if we have bid 20 million then Villa will accept that as a good return on their investment for a player who wants to leave. From Villas angle you would have thought that they would have wanted say 15 million plus a player (Defoe) for instance assuming that this kind of offer hasn't already been made?

I sill think that 20 million is way too much for a one season wonder, but it's still early in the transfer window with plenty of bigger fish still in the sea i guess.

Given the shortage of strikers, I don't think we could offer any or sell any at the moment without leaving ourselves with a problem. Our strike force is very weak generally and not scoring anywhere near the number of goals expected for a top 4 side with most goals coming from our midfield (Bale scored 21 league goals, Defoe and Adebayor managed 11 between them). If one gets injured there is no replacement.

Not sure even with Benteke how much AVB is being supported. All these big names or wonder kids he put forward and we are after and nothing seems to happen and they go elsewhere. Can't help but wonder if it is because we are too interested in haggling the fees and wages as much as the stature of the club. If we want to be a serious contender for the title, we need to stop the haggling tricks like drawing the negotiations out till the last day and get the signings done. If we don't get them now, we will have to buy at over inflated prices in the January window or get an emergency buy to fill a gap.
