Gentlemen and ladies......

I suggest calm. We missed an established superstar in David Villa - its a hell of a blow to take. ( Chelsea and City missed Cavani and Falcoa, much younger and worth more)

We've also (maybe) missed a couple of Croat kids that nobody here (I think) has ever seen play football.. And I don't think I've seen anybody sign anyone young that scares me yet (Schullre - but thats Paulinho money so not exactly a kid)

would not trust Daniel Levy to sell me a used Ford Sierra but PERSPECTIVE?

At the moment Chelsea have still got Torres as their main man (oh, soory and BA), City have the wonderful Aguero and Dzeko and Arsenal have the same shit in another year

We need to replace Defoe and Ade. I've read a lot about depth of scouting. Can someone please suggest a viable bet? I guarantee he has been scouted by every damn club and his dog.

It's all about making a business decision (a good bet)...after Villa comes the new Bent (benteke - scary how close that's spelt), somewhere after that will come Bony and I imagine there's a reason nobody is competing with the might of Swansea for him (a lot of professional experts think he will be average -they may be wrong)

I would like to start the season with a new striker, and a new left back as as much as I love Benny i think hes toasted most of the time - he plays and talks and even does his hair like he's toasted -he's toasted. What I want though and what is possible are not mutually exclusive..

Viva the guessing game, just please stop with the knee jerk, It always works this way, negative and small talk..

Yes yes but we want a striker.

And where is he??

God knows.

Edit: Or she - to be ultra PC.

Anyone else slightly concerned that since Baldini left Roma seem to be buying some very good players?!!

What you think him and Levy are creating a good cop bald cop routine.

Baldini walks in "50M for your Damioa!"
Then Levy walks in with a groucho glasses/cigar combo and says "We'll be paying in Dongs... And we don't mean Aaron Lennon's ;) "

U do mean the fizzy drink yeh ;)

Surely u should of said "too much coke (or other fizzy drinks are available ie. pepsi) on a friday nite.
Just so SC doesnt seem to favour one type of drink incase of sponsorship deal lol!

With the same respect shown in my response, I can only speak from personal experience of this site. I've only been an 'official' member for just over a year and, since I've been more regular on here, the MODS are much more strict than they were when I just used to read the site. (maybe just interacting on here has made me see it differently?).

I only have to look at the info we've had from 'looklikemodric' over the last week or two. The guy has been absolutely 'bang on point', yet he is still yet to be allowed into the RO. To me, that speaks volumes about the 'vetting' of our ITK sources.

Remember, many of these ITK sources were verified a long time ago, yet their own sources are constantly changing, if not disappearing altogether. It's only natural that some of them lose their 'info mojo', whilst others come onto the scene with fresh info from fresh contacts, thus relegating former believable ITK to the bench, so to speak.

I think, now, that those in search of an ego boost are weeded out excellently by everyone who runs this site. Just my personal opinion, SK (y)

Yep I agree that the mods do a brilliant job in vetting the ITK. It's just inevitable that there are one or two that take advantage once they get approval.

I also agree about the speed in which a situation can change. I remember JJ (who is obviously up there with the very best) talking about a player coming to us, only for him to decide to go elsewhere within an hour. Can't remember which player it was...he was the one who went to Liverpool and ended up being a huge disappointment.

Wait a minute....that would be all of them :woot:

Was going to include him but he started the season...actually so did Kaboul come to think of it :)

True, but he was sorely missed after he was injured. Actually the more I think about it, the better our position is.

Kaboul could be fit
Sandro could be fit
BAE back to full fitness (Missed 1/3 of the season & AVB said whenever he played last year he was carrying a knock)
Dembele could be back to full fitness after playing with an injury last year.
Rose & Townsend are back and probably twice the players they were when they left
Ade gets a pre-season & no AFCON (went from no pre-season to Injured to coulkdng get a run of games due to Defoe's form to AFCON).
No swapping of GK as Brad is well and truly #2.

Anything I have missed?

Idk when Sandro will be back as he was uploading pictures on his instagram; looked like he was still on holidays... Hope he only misses a game or two.

Think you've covered most of it. Lloris will be more settled to!!! and you've already mentioned Paulinho!!

Another big one is AVB and what he's learnt from his first season. It took a while to see the results of his methods/coaching etc...but now we really are in a good position from that transition.

That would be Nuri Sahin and I also remember a lot of so called "football experts" from this message board slating AVB when JJ also said AVB did not rate or want Sahin.

Brilliant!! :ROFLMAO:... You're right about the piss takers though, but maybe the mods are working on this? I guess there's nothing wrong with politely telling an 'accepted ITK' that their info has 'recently' had significantly more 'misses' than 'hits', so they'll have to reconfirm their source(s)? Let's face it, if an ITK has nothing to worry about, he'll have no problem with such a thing.

I understand that mods may not want to step on the toes of people that have previously given very good info, but the key word there is 'previously'. Who knows, it may even make it easier to run the site?

I would like to point out I'm not taking a pop at any source of ITK who graces this site with their presence, I appreciate them immensely. I'm just trying to point out that times change, as do sources & the info they are able to provide or attain.
