So much for Bale about to sign a new contract. His agent has just rubbished that claim...

Seems to me also his agent is inviting offers too...

edit - Quotes can be found on news now and sky sports official site. Not sure if I'm allowed to post them here...

Bollocks!

How confident is everyone that he'll say another season?

It was suggested a while back that Bale's agent would push for a move at some point; he is supposed to be pretty ambitious and of course would get paid a fortune if he pulled it off.
Fact remains, it's up to Bale, and more pertinently Levy, and most likely it's a bit of posturing to get Levy to stick an extra few grand on the contract offer.
I remain confident that Bale only gets sold when Levy decides & Bale concurs, he doesn't strike me as a sulker.
I'd say it's 95% he stays this year, and up to 50/50 next year depending on CL and our progress.
If we start winning things, which isn't beyond the realms of possibility, I say Bale stays long term.

Not going to pay the slightest bit of attention to Marca. We all know that it's used as a tapping up service for Madrid.

How reliable is SkySports? I see they are qouting Bale's agent and that is NOT good news if true...

Bale's agent (or at least one of them) is Jewish and lives in North London, he knows my father in law vaguely.

Not my source, but I'll check up on it later. From my end, nothing doing AT ALL. He's staying.

Barnett said it, however its in his interest to say it also.

He says its "an honor" for Madrid to be interested and If Neymar was worth £57m then Bale is going to demand more than that.

The fact remains the same. Bale is happy and Spurs are happy to keep him
Madrid obviously want him, but guess what? So does everybody else in world football.

I wonder if the Villa thing is just interest or have we actually entered in to talks with the club/player?

There have been news reports saying AVB is "in talks with" Villa - not agents/clubs talking so I took that as deal done and personal aspects being sorted. (SSN, Daily Mail, Standard, etc).

Villa is free to negotiate his move away from barcelona

The fee has still yet to be agreed

What would be the plan if we had both Villa and Leandro?

Would it be a case of those two competing for the central striker role or would Villa be used as an option on either side of the striker in a three (i.e. Bale Leandro Villa)?

+1.

He also said we are not talking to anybody. It is just a replay of RM using the same tactics to tap up Bale that they did on Modric, starting with Marca's reporters .. EDIT RM's agents. It's all LOB! :banghead:

EDIT: Thanks for the info Ryan, let's hope it all comes off! (y)

Well if we're continuing in 4-2-3-1 we can see Villa-Bale-Lennon behind Leandro..
