Why? You've already labelled me as some sort of internet wannabe policeman, which is way off the mark. I'm basically a chilled out entertainer.

All I can see is a bunch of people trying to help you avoid getting banned from this thread.

By getting on their high horses and talking to everyone who hasn't read "SC Rules - Volume 970" yet like a piece of retarded shit on their shoe?

Congratulations on being amongst life's winners, guys. Stay awesome.

He was actually aiming that at me.

What I don't understand Is.... How the talking about ITK thread, became the... Talking about the ITK thread thread.

Can't see why this is relevant to the ITK.

Think I would rather read 5 pages of "it's bollocks" "OMG he would amazing" and hoofhearted's jubious ITK panel Almost ITK but not quite...

I've just remembered why I go for months without posting on here.

You break a rule you weren't aware existed, designed to prevent heinous crimes such as "posting things in the wrong place" scandals, then people who didn't create the rule and aren't charged with enforcing the rule decide to do so anyway, probably while wearing a little "I'm a moderator" had they fashioned out of tin foil and some old buttons, and if you ask what on earth's going on they get deeply offended and alert the police.

I'm sitting here now awaiting my inevitable arrest.
You have been advised on numerous occasions about the rules. It's very simple. This is a forum with rules that we can choose to abide by or not. If not, we run the risk of getting banned. Numerous posters have referred you to the rules pertaining to this thread and all seem to be conversant with them and would like them to be followed. You, conversely, seem to feel that you should not have to become familiar with them, and whinge about them constantly, spamming the thread. Your arrogance is breathtaking.

I would suggest two alternatives for you. Either read and abide by the rules, or continue with your current practice until you are banned. Both will improve the thread.

My apologies to everybody else for feeling the need to further spam the thread with this.

Lmao. Absolutely priceless.

My irony klaxon just exploded when you said "your arrogance is breathtaking". I will be billing you for a new one :D

Kind of hoping we don't have much ITK to discuss this summer tbh. Need our targets lined up already and to have them done, largely, before pre-season starts.

How dare you try and bring this thread back on topic. What do you think you're playing at ..... ! :sneaky:

Anyone else kind of worried about the timing of Bale's new contract?

On one hand, you'd love to see him sign that contract as it will be an eye-opener for potential targets because they know he will be staying.

On the other hand, you can't really blame Bale for not signing until he sees some movement on the transfer front that would signal that "this year is different" in us being aggressive and going all out to secure a CL spot next season.

Hopefully Bale will have enough trust in Levy that he will sign the deal on Levy's word, but it could make for a difficult situation.

(This is my most likely futile attempt to thrust this thread back into a somewhat on-topic discussion)

All this talk about rules, bans and internet police made me wonder if I took a wrong turn in the internet crossroads and ended up back at COYS?

Not really. He got a new contract last summer (albeit not an extended one), and it's natural that he'd be offered an improved one this summer.

I suspect that he's nailed on to leave next summer anyway, so I doubt it makes much difference to him if we improve the squad.

Nah, whatever happens, he's gotta be staying this season.
Even if he didn't sign a contract he'd still be staying, just our bargaining hand would be weakened next year.
He'll probably sign anyway, his agent will want his pieces of silver and wouldn't be doing his job if he didn't blag some extra after a season like that.

I'm happy to remain positive, insofar as I think that if we can offer Bale what he wants, which is good money now and Champions League later, then he might not be too inclined to go anywhere for some while.

What have Barcelona, Real Madrid, Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, PSG all got in common?

Managerial uncertainty and/or upheaval. Who wants the hassle of walking into that? He's a great kinship with our manager and is nicely settled and a helicopter's ride away from his dear Welsh homeland. Can't see anyone else even on the radar to buy him, his fee would likely annihilate anybody's FFP quota in one hit. Is it possible that he could become too expensive to transfer in this new FFP world?!

PS. I'd like to add a note of thanks to the moderators for removing the optimistic rating.

not worried at all. I have a feeling that DL can make a couple of good deals early so avb can have a relatively comfortable pre-season (learning from mistake last year modric leaving too late, ade missed the entire pre-season). Pretty sure they have a Plan B and possibly Plan C even if things went bad.

on the other hand, if the club is confident on keeping Bale, there shall not be any harm to hear "bale this bale that". This could imo help us boast up his price tag. Just in case we really couldn't hold on to keeping Bale next season, the high price tag is always helpful.

No, since last summer he didn't sign until June 27th. The transfer window isn't even open anyway, and they've just got back from a trip abroad. What's the rush? He'll sign in a few weeks.
