Clasie's just signed a new contract mate, so that probably rules that one out, Draxler would be a great signing agreed.
No way will Schalke sell him and he wouldn't leave yet. Plus he's an attacking mid rather than a central one.

Cabaye would compliment Sandro and Dembélé perfectly.

Yeah you're right, different types of player, I meant a good signing in general, I'm a big fan of his, would take big money to get him for sure.

I remember reading that AVB and Pardew are mates, and their family's go on Holiday together and stuff, hopefully AVB's buddy can do him (and us) a favour at the weekend.

A search for 'villas boas pardew friends' suggests not. But their brief spat, if you can call it that, was a couple of years ago.

Maybe they kissed and made up and Alan bought him those nice beads Andre had always wanted on Regent's Street.

Ok guys i have a lovely bit of ITK for you.

My cousin is a black cab driver and he just picked up Alan Pardew in Covent Garden.

He said the players and management have been given an incentive to win the game. Also Levy has put in a bid for CABAYE! Sticking point is the price.

This convo was via text so i don't know the full info just yet.

Oh and before you guys knock my ITK, I cleared this with Rob before posting.

Out of interest, would this type of activity be in breach of EPL rules? Or am I misreading this, and in actual fact Newcastles board and not Spurs', have offered this incentive?!

Could just be Newcastle's board of directors wanting to recover from a poor season by getting a result against big team Arsenal. Restores confidence, ends the season on a high, makes people not reconsider renewing their season tickets.

Nope....if Spurs were to offer an incentive then yes but not if Ashley was going to give them a bonus for winning.

You can't compare Caulker, or pretty much any defender, to Ledley King. Ledley was made for the game, he's the most natural CB I've ever seen. Without his injuries he'd be up there amongst the very best players ever. Caulker is a very good player with great amounts of potential. Yes, he sometimes lacks concentration etc but the lad is 21 years old and I for one would hate to see him go. He might not be the next Ledley, but he will one day be one hell of a central defender. Add to that him coming up through the academy and that. Would be a shame to see him leave.

If we don't think Caulker is ready, wouldn't it be worth loaning him out to a mid-table club like Swans again and bringing him into the rotation when Dawson gets too old to feature consistently? He's clearly got talent, just needs to hone it a bit.
