Been talking to an Ajax fan, she reckons Toby Alderweild is on his way to England instead of Roma

Considering his two mates are with us, I wouldnt mind him coming in.

I'd be well up for that. Him and Verts were the bollocks for Ajax and already have a great understanding.

Caulker's career

Yeovil, Bristol City, Swansea

IIRC he picked up player of the year or young player of the year at those 3 clubs while on loan and got rave reviews.

Has had an inconsistent run in our team this season, albeit his first playing proper first team football with us. So it was always going to be a transitional season for us. I expect him to play more next season AND continue developing into a top class CB.

We'd be foolish to sell him now and I dont expect clubs to offer anywhere near 15 million for him.

Overrate them? They didn't finish 1st in the U21 Elite Group and are in the finals of the play-offs for nothing

Ok guys i have a lovely bit of ITK for you.

My cousin is a black cab driver and he just picked up Alan Pardew in Covent Garden.

He said the players and management have been given an incentive to win the game. Also Levy has put in a bid for CABAYE! Sticking point is the price.

This convo was via text so i don't know the full info just yet.

Oh and before you guys knock my ITK, I cleared this with Rob before posting.

If this is legit, and not doubting you in any way, this is brilliant. Midfield of dembele Sandro and cabaye (or cabbage as my iPad wants to call him) would be immense.

You can bid for a player whenever you like, transfer will only go through once window opens.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the only restrictions on transfers are the times when a player (under contract) can move.

We'd really see the best of Cabaye alongside Dembele and Sandro. At Newcastle he's always playing as part of a 2-man midfield in a 4-2-3-1 and has to get through a lot of defensive work. Wonder how much they'd want for him? Around £15m would be my guess.

Great piece of ITK. We musn't get carried away though, a bid doesn't mean we're signing him. It's probably about 8 million and David Bentley.

This was my first thought, Cabaye is 27 now, can't see Levy going too high.

Thanks for sharing this Breezer. Good news about the incentive; let's hope they can stick it to the goons.

My initial reaction is wondering what possible reason a PL manager would have to share transfer gossip with his cabbie. Then I realised it's Alan Pardew and the man is a complete bell end.

Not necessarily, a lot of the players coming from France to Newcastle are putting themselves in the shop window and have release clauses, don't know about Cabaye though.
