I stand by what he said. He's fast and that's it.

It'd probably come down to who AVB would prefer: Ince or Salah?

I think the values would be very similar in the end.

I know Snarl, if I was DL I'd appoint you DoF !

Talking of Basel, do you rate Shaqiri, not got much time at Bayern and will get even less with Goetze going there ?

I love Shaqiri. He's very similar to Hazard in the stocky build but he's got far more strength on the ball. If he was available, I'd love to have him. It would come down to what Shaqiri wanted, whether to stay and fight for his place or look elsewhere to find a new home.

However, I think the odd man out will most likely be Robben. I still think Shaqiri is in Bayern's long term plans.

Tottenham are considering a move for Basle winger Mohamed Salah.

The 21-year-old Egyptian scored in the Swiss side's 2-1 defeat of Chelsea in the Champions League last month.
Sportsmail revealed Andre Villas Boas was keen on Salah earlier this year but wanted to see whether he continued to progress.

Tottenham scouts watched his performance against Chelsea and plan further checks before January.
Basle value Salah at £15million but know other Premier League and European sides are keen.

Although a bit more research makes you wonder if our Jewish links might be an issue for him...

Basel’s Egyptian Mohamad Salah refuses to shake hands with Maccabi Tel Aviv

There was an unsavoury incident in one of the Champions League qualifiers on Tuesday night and you wonder whether UEFA will investigate.

Basel’s star winger, Egyptian Mohamad Salah, went to great lengths to avoid shaking hands with Israeli opponents Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Salah, positioned a pair of boots on the side of the pitch and avoided the pre-match handshakes under the pretence of changing his orange Adidas footwear.

Whilst Salah’s performance in the 1-0 win over the Israeli champions has been praised, the Swiss press have condemned his actions pre-match.

It seems almost certain that Salah will not travel to Israel for the second leg of the Champions League match which is another sad indictment on UEFA’s handling of this situation.

It's pretty pointless signing another winger although he is promising. We need a world class left winger more than another left footer. We're well stocked there with Andros and Coco.

No issue with Jewish links, it's a boycott of Israeli cultural and sporting institutions. Different things entirely.

Oh and we do not need to buy another effin winger. Buy a striker and more full backs, those positions need depth but otherwise there is enough talent in the squad, if not on the pitch.

We could do with another winger/AMF, we've only got:

Lamela
Chadli
Azza
Gylfi
Eriksen
Holtby
Townsend

My Swiss friend said he's good for the Swiss league but in general he's just pretty average. He said the same about Stöcker though who I thought was quite good :(

I'm about as Aryan-looking as they come, and I don't want a guy with anything that even looks like bigotism towards any ethnicity or race associated with our club. Also, literally the LAST thing we need is another left-footed right winger. By far our deepest position at the moment, and I don't think he'd even be an upgrade on either of our two current players there.

That's what so called anti-Zionists like to say to avoid the uglier, but far more accurate, term of anti-Semite. Do you think he would have refused to shake hands if Basel were playing Bnei Sakhnin ? Of course he wouldn't, so his discrimination isn't against Israelis but exclusively Jewish Israelis which categorically makes him an anti-Semite.

Don't want him or his kind anywhere near our club.
