According to the Guardian, we can prepare for this. Again.

Loïc Rémy will be the prized target for the Premier League's predators if Queens Park Rangers are relegated, with Tottenham Hotspur prominent among those considering whether to pay the France striker's £8m release clause.

Honestly, if his release clause is £8m, this seems like a no-brainer. The man can cover the wings, obviously up front and seems ideal for the 4-3-3 should AVB want to implement it. His wages are obviously an issue though, isn't he on £70k or something mental like that.

Think he wouldn't be great as a first choice forward but as an option from the wings and up front he fits the bill.

From the little I've read it seems he's on 70k but this will go down if QPR are relegated.

I wouldn't mind having him but would want him on more reasonable wages. Guess it depends on who else is interested in him.

I'm still pretty scared about the dodgy hamstrings/groins Remy seems to have.

It wasn't long after his move to QPR that there was some talk he might miss the rest of the season with a groin injury.

Talented player when healthy, no doubt. But I think he should be a fallback plan and not much more.

I agree, his injury record this season is worrying and we tend to make players injury prone or worse when they get him, this may end with a early retirement lol

A limited striker from what I have seen. Scores great goals but doesn't bring other players into the game or lead the line well.

I'll be honest here and say that I'm not, nor was I ever, fussed on Remy. As many have said there is the injury record but aside from that I've never seen anything to suggest he would be a massive upgrade for us. Yes he can cover a number of positions, but that alone is no reason to buy him.

But the I like to buck the trend in here, I have never been remotely interested in Leandro either!

If there was a forward with PL experience that I would like us to go in for it would be Benteke. Yes Villa are quoting silly money with the latest figure around £25m but I would think he will go for less and wages shouldn't be an issue either. He has the ability to become a fantastic player and would fit in nicely with our Belgian contingent.

Not good enough in my opinion. Great pace, good athlete but lacks the first touch, awareness of a real top draw player.

We can't attract real top draw players. Especially strikers.
Says a lot when Andros Townsend has out shined Remy though, thats my point, Remy wont take us to the next level. We might not be able to attract Europe's elite strikers, but we can certainly do better than Remy, Swansea and Villa both managed it, I'm sure we can.

I am really not too big a fan of Remy...

Scored a feel good goals... And missed quite a few crucial chances that could have keep QPR alive. But if we are desperate come the close of the next transfer window, I might change my tune.

A decent enough main striker cover for £8 mill and versatile so can play wide. he has great pace and is very good aerially, not though a player I would want us getting as our main first choice striker

I think he'd be alright for us. He'd be even more viable if we didn't make CL. He can play upfront on his own, is better than Ade and can do a job on the flanks. He's nothing special but he's good enough.

As a result of very good scouting, sure a bit of luck involved as you never know how it'll turn up, but mostly good scouting. Look at the way Dortmund have bought players for fuck all in comparison.

Sometimes I do wonder what the fuck is going on with our scouts. Or perhaps it's a lack of a DoF or maybe just Levy thinking he knows more than he does about players. God knows.

I'd take him on the cheap to play wide right forward instead of Aaron Lennon.

The team needs more goals
