Didn't see this posted anywhere. Apologies if it has. (I searched)

Spurs fans' favourite David Ginola has admitted he was disappointed not to be asked to join the club's coaching staff by Harry Redknapp.
Ginola had one eye on a job at White Hart Lane after Redknapp invited ex-players Tim Sherwood and Les Ferdinand to join his backroom staff.
The former Aston Villa and Newcastle winger has revealed he had been in talks with the club's former director of football Damien Comolli about a job at the club prior to his impromptu exit.

"I would have been the first person to accept an offer to go back," he told Zoo Magazine. "I would love to be back at Spurs.
"When Damien Comolli was in charge, we met and discussed me going back, but obviously Comolli has now left and it sees the club are not interested.
"To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed, because I would have loved to return."

i posted a week ago comments made by Archibald on spanish tv that Ginola offered himself to Harry but he didn't want him on board. Harry has stated various times that he wants to see more English coaches getting into the game, I think all his backroom staff are English and Jordan who¡s Scottish. He even got rid of Leitart (who has only been at Spurs for 5 months) for Parks.

Skills or youth team coach please. Best player we've had at Spurs since Gazza.

He would be useful in sorting Gareth Bale's hair out. Maybe if Bale had the type of hair that made he think he 'was worth it' he would fill with confidence and begin to play like a decent full back again.

It's a shame there's no room for him at Spurs. I would have loved to have seen him there. Aside from the obvious footballing benefits, he would have brought such a positive vibe there, and the fans would have loved it too.
He's definitely worth it!

But theres several other former players who could do a good job at Spurs. They cant all get jobs. I think we have enough staff now.

Ginola is a legend though and always welcome at the Lane.

They'd have to extend the dugout to fit everyone in!

tho i'd love to see him back at whl, in any capacity

The fella needs to make up his mind, he was saying the other day how much he wanted to contribute something to PSG and make it a real family club, etc.

He can't work everywhere!

I reckon that would work too!

I have a sneaky feeling he'd be a shit coach.

Contraversal!

But possibly true...

Fans of Tottenham and Newcastle will remember David Ginola as a skilled winger that terrorised defenders, but the Frenchman is set to swap trickery for tactics after revealing plans to enter football management.

The former France international has not featured in a prominent role in the game since retiring as a player at Everton in 2002 following a short spell at Aston Villa.

But the 45-year-old has stated his desire to become a manager after completing a coaching course in Wales.

Ginola spoke to Ian Wright on Absolute Radio, revealing he hoped to fulfill his ambition within two years and would even be interested in a job at Halifax should the chance pass him by.

Ginola said: ‘Well I passed my CNB licence in Wales, I need to spend some time at Spurs doing my hours for the A licence this year, it will take some time and hopefully next year I will be able to be involved with a club and wind up being a manager in the next year or two.

'Why not [after being questioned about being manager of Halifax]? I mean it’s a learning process anyway, it’s not because you’ve been playing football for so many years at the top level, in the top league like the English Premier League, it’s that you are capable of doing good.
‘There’s not so many former players who have been successful as managers, there’s just a few.

'It doesn’t mean a thing, you just have to learn, you just have to understand, it’s a different position, a different attitude, you’ve got different issues. As a player you think about yourself, as a manager you think about others.’

Ginola joined Newcastle in 1995 before moving to Spurs two years later. It was in north London the Frenchman arguably enjoyed his best years in England, winning the 1999 League Cup and the Football Writers' and Players' Player of the Year in the same year.
