Fair enough. I can only say then that I hope your source has it wrong because I agree that he has massive potential and I hope he manages to fulfil it at Tottenham.

On one hand I think we should only be loaning him out as I think he has massive potential.

On the other hand I think, well if Ramos and co don't rate him, then that's good enough for me!

I get the nagging feeling Kaboul's going to be a top, top player in a few years' time.

I like Kaboul and am another person who thinks he has bags of potential. Great athlete, great football, young football brain... once he matures I can't see him being anything other than a success.

King, Dawson and Woody... is that all we have at centre back once Chimbo and Kaboul go?

I also thought Mido would be a top top player after he went to Boro.....I now realise I was wrong....

I think Kaboul will be a top top player after he has left us.......Am I wrong?

I would find another interest if you thought Mido was going to be a top player. He has had 30 seconds of fame where ever he has played and 9 months of shit.

The size of Mido's ego was only beatedn by his waistline.

He was a wee bit better than Rasiak

I can't believe Rasiak was a Tottenham player. I don't think he even scored, did he?

Rasiak scored against Liverpool in his first or second game but it was disallowed because Carrick's corner had crossed the byline and come back in before Rasiak nutted it inn.

Same happened to Pool in that game. Pretty hilarious in retrospect as it ended 1-1 or 0-0 with both teams having identical goals disallowed.

PORTSMOUTH have beaten Sunderland in the race to sign Tottenham flop Younes Kaboul.

Pompey boss Harry Redknapp is set to complete the £3m deal this weekend despite late interest from Aston Villa.
Kaboul, 22, met with Black Cats boss Roy Keane and asked for 24 hours to think things over.
But this was because Redknapp was working in the background to persuade the Frenchman to move to Fratton Park.
Redknapp said: “Sunderland and Villa made fantastic offers but the lad wants to come here.”

3m? Mistake surely.

3m? Mistake surely.

 Yup. That's embarrassing - even for The Super Soaraway.

Even 'Arry wouldn't believe he could get Kaboul for £3 million.

Sunderland met our valuations for the quartet, which in Kaboul's case must be north of £7 million. Since then it sounds like Villa have pretty much matched that valuation. If he's going to Pompey, they must be using a big chunk of the Muntari money. The price they pay will be the Sunderland price - otherwise we won't do business.

If we have sold him for just 3 mil i will go crazy

Bearing in mind Harry wanted to have a success based signing I think that is what's happened, £3m up front with lots of add-ons. I do not believe the club would take a £5m hit on him in a year, that is not Levy's style at all.

3 and 8 can be very easily confused, especially by Sun journos.

We paid Auxerre the full whack up front—no way will Levy settle for twatting around with add-ons.

It appears a couple of papers are running with the £3m price. Doesn't sit with the £23m for the 4 Sunderland were prepared to pay. Something is very wrong here.

It's bizarre this £3m - sometimes I think it's to do with the desire for Harry to be seen as a great wheeler dealer - (which to be fair he is)

It's like JD to Pompey - one minute it was £9m the next it was £7m

I've always stuck with believing the £9m price - not because it particularly matters - we got what we got and our accounts look healthy enough to me - just because as I say there's a lot of mythologising goes on round Harry's deals -

I remember how Portsmouth ballsed up the Benjani part of the JD deal - but a couple of my West Ham colleagues just ( almost automatically) said - no no - it's Harry pulling a clever one

so I won't believe it's £3m for Kaboul unless Spurs come out and say so
