We need pace in the team, it’s something we lack massively.

I’m also amazed that we were not interested in Daniel James for this reason as he’s going to be a star and is rapid.
We need more pace at full-back but I don't see a lack of pace generally being a massive problem anymore. I'm pretty sure there were a decent number of games where Lucas and Son started but having more pace didn't help us too much.

I’m not so sure about the star part with James but he is most definitely very quick.

YELLOW CARD
Algeria make their sub as Rennes utility man Mehdi Zeffane replaces the injured Youcef Atal.

I agree there were games that Lucas and Son’s pace didn’t influence games but it was down to how we were setup. When you fail dominate the key area of the pitch (central midfield) it exposes your defence and cuts off your front players. Sissoko and Winks were a very good combination but sadly both had injuries and/or they were running on empty, stand ins were crap and support from Eriksen and/or Alli was often non existent. Revert to a 433 for the season ahead and we should see a return to being extremely difficult to beat, creating and scoring a lot more goals.

Watching this in a Kenyan bar as I’m here for work. First glimpse of Atal, very good going forward, shaky defensively.

Hit the ground hard and left with a separated shoulder or broken collarbone.

So many players we’re associated with pick up injuries. Sort this out, scouts

I guess what they could do is go from scouts to scout snipers and take out any opposition player who is going into a hard challenge on any player they are watching.

I'm fairly certain there wouldn't be any problems with this.

True. But its a signing I would love us to make. 1/2 year deal for a player of his pedigree. You give KWP the chance to develop underneath him and if he cannot prove himself you make RB a priority next season.

Isn’t Dani Alves in his mid 30’s? Quality player, but doesn’t sound much like the sort of thing we’d do.

Besides, I’m not sure I’ve forgiven him for the worst display of persistent cheating I’ve ever seen on a football pitch against us for Sevilla at WHL in the EL.

Could do with a bit of shithousery in the squad imo

Alves is class, I would definitely take him for a season if we got shut of Trippier. We shouldn't be afraid to go for some experience now and again.

There’s experience and then there’s playing an OAP at full back in the fastest and most intense league in the world. PSG didn’t play him at full back... either in central midfield or further forward.

Look at Ashley Cole, similar age and once an outstanding left back... he’s ready for the knackers yard.
